Welcome to the February 2026 exercise thread. We don't have a theme this month, but feel free to share Disney memes, images, trip photos, quotes, etc. if you feel like doing so!

If you’re returning, we’re excited to have you back! If you’re new, welcome to the team! Here’s how it works:

Each person chooses a time goal and posts minutes towards that goal as they exercise. You can post daily or just catch up when you can. You decide what movement counts towards your goal - which can be a nice round total for the month, a specific number that means something to you, or a calculation based on a target number of minutes per day. Since February has 28 days, here are some common conversions:

15 minutes/day = 420
20 minutes/day = 560
30 minutes/day = 840
45 minutes/day = 1260
1 hour/day = 1680

One of the special motivations of our Disney challenge is color changing!
Page one will be updated with individual and team color changes as we make more and more progress:

10% - Blue
25% - Orange
50% - Purple
75% - Pink
90% - Red
100% - Green


We’re officially starting this challenge on February 1st (but really the 5th!), but if you don’t find the thread until later in the month, you’re still welcome to join! There's no better time than the present to start toward your goals!! Just post your goal and I’ll add you to the list. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and to check out old threads to see what’s been going on.

I just hate setting goals because I don't ever reach them. And if I do, then I stop when I reach the goal. So just changing a lifestyle. Hoping to walk 15 minutes per day. That's a mile a day. So I'm hoping to go 450 (not a goal, lol).

I get it! No worries. At least you have something to work toward, and it can always be adjusted later on if you wish!
 

I'm in for 700 minutes again.

I'm just going to go for 200 minutes this month. I may raise my goal or fail to meet it entirely, depending on when this baby decides to arrive. The doctor says she's hopeful that it will happen in the next week, but my due date is actually the 19th, so we shall see. I will say that I am exhausted pretty much all the time, so even if the baby takes its time, the 200 minutes might be a stretch! 😅

I have 40 minutes so far from a trip to the zoo today.

Finally had temps in the 70s this weekend, so I worked in the yard for 45 minutes (sweeping and picking up leaves, and straightening and organizing my shed). Then wrapped up the evening with a 1 mile, 15 minute walk after dinner tonight. So I only truly walked for 15 minutes (if you don't count working in the yard). But I went over 7,500 steps today. First time over 7k this year.

So, 112/450
 
Wow! Our group is on fire this month! I'm happy to report we have tons more color changes. Congrats to PollyannaMom and Elizabeth Smith for reaching Blue!!! And hooray for Twilight Sparkle, WDW_fan_in_TX, ShannyMcB, sophy1996, and our TEAM who all join Alicatt over in Orange!!!

I am going to do 400 minutes. I hurt my should this week and it hurts to move it. Thankfully, it is not broke and they don't think there is any major damage. I don't feel comfortable getting on the treadmill right now and sidewalks are still snow covered and icy here. We are finally going to be in the 30's (after 16 days of being in the 20's or lower. Most of the time in negative wind chills) this week so I am hopeful I can get outside to walk as the week goes on.
