I was soooo close to spending this weekend at Disney!

I just had to share my dissapointment somewhere, and of course the Dis is the place. My husband, such a wonderful wonderful wonderful husband, wanted to surprise me with a weekend trip to Disney this weekend. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to get ANY studio at any resort for the 12th. The 13th was no problem, but nothing on the 12th! Boo!! I wish he hadn't told me on one hand, but on the other hand I'm glad he did because it was a great idea! It's amazing how quickly you can get excited, and then be soooooo let down

Good news!!! We are now looking at next weekend, as a late birthday for me, and an early Christmas for both of us! We would have to make the 11 hour drive down to save money on the ridiculous airfare, but I think it would still be worth it! We would arrive around lunch time on the 19th, have all day the 20th, and have to leave again Monday morning.

Go for it, enjoy it! I did a quick trip (by plane, it's not quick from Ohio) last year when my DF's daughter was singing in the CP. I had 1 night in Pop, and 1 night in DVC studio, but it was so worth it! I even got to meet a DVCer disboarder, canwegosoon.

It's nice when someone thinks of surprises and it works out one way or another!

No such luck next weekend either with DVC! Not that I'm surprised, but I was just going by the availability based on the Dis thread. Oh well, some things just aren't meant to be I guess. We still plan on going next year to see the Christmas decorations- for a whole week- so I will just have to wait until then I suppose.

I think I'm only really bummed because everything here at my work is going belly up, and I'm just not in the holiday spirit due to the impending unemployment. However, I am determined to find some Christmas spirit around town these next 2 weekends!!

Unemployment around the holidays really sucks, but whenever God closes a door, somewhere He'll open a window Hang in there and here's wishing you some nice surprises
