OK, I think that goes a little far...there is place for toddlers to color and watch TV and decompress. It is called the hotel room. Or backseat of the minivan.

I'm going to ask them to add rockers, remove the tv and dim the lights.
I don't think simply dimming the lights and adding a rocking chair is the same thing. They would need to have a second room. I personally think the area with the tv and the coloring area is good for the "older" toddlers who need a place to get away and decompress.
The only time I've been into a baby care center was with my sister when she was nursing her DD. DSseparate (who was 3 at the time) and I waited for her in the TV room. I assumed it was for families who were waiting for mom/baby to finish. It is nice to have that place, especially if they are going to be "picky" about who is allowed in the feeding area.
I guess there is no good answer. Any way it is done will make some end up feeling put out.
Well... at Disney I have only been to GS a handful of times.
At Epcot twice to check for ADR's for a later time in the day and once at DHS to find out where we could get some formula since I had forgotten some for the baby (yeah I know bad mom and also a problem a breastfeeding mom never has) <--my feeble attempt at humor.
So I wouldn't have heard it there. But I literally mean I have never heard anyone, anywhere say something to a woman BFing.
I can't see why a woman would be concerned if her DH say a woman BFing. I am guessing that most women don't just whip their shirt and bra completely off to feed the child. I really am so oblivious to it I rarely even notice a woman is BFing. I probably inappropriately stare because I am in wonderous awe of all infants. I adore them. Maybe that makes me part of the problem. *Note to self* stare less.
I can see why you were upset, but nursing moms have a harder time. Some have been hassled for nursing in public, others are just too embarrassed to do it. There are only two chairs in that room. You could give your baby a bottle anywhere in the park without ever worrying that someone would see your breasts.
Sorry you were upset and that breastfeeding didn't work for you.
I think you missed the original intent of my complaint - I wanted to use the rocking chairs to rock my baby in a quiet environment. I can't do that just anywhere in the park!![]()

Really? Is the motivation really to make bf mothers more comfortable than bottle feeding mothers? Or is it to try to limit the amount of nursing in the parks - which receives tons of complaints? No one can make you feel second class but yourself.
Why can't my child have a quiet area to feed also out of the heat (ie in the AC)?
I'm sorry your are incorrect, there is no Federal LAW that allows NIP, therefore it is not allowed everywhere. In fact, only 44 states have laws that "allow" women to NIP "discreetly". You really should read the article on my previous post. Business owners including restaurants turn refuse service to women that NIP all the time because of complaints from others.Hey, it's LAW that women are allowed to BF anywhere. It was deemed a biological neccessity to feed the child. So if they get complaints, post a notice of the law and file them in the circular file. I tried BF my son, but due to a certain issue, it was deemed not viable for me. Why can't my child have a quiet area to feed also out of the heat (ie in the AC)? If there's not enough rockers or chair, add some or build some extra area for the non nursing moms away from the "family" area. I'm sorry, but Disney is not hurting for cash enough to deprive a few moms of a rocker.
In one of your prior posts you talk about running into bf nazis but you can't believe anyone would says something about a bf woman? You don't think it works both ways? You've never heard or seen complaints about bf anywhere? Not on the news (CNN frequently carries these stories)? Not on these boards (where I have seen several in my limited time here)? Nowhere? It really doesn't sound like you have gotten out much in your 36 years. That or you just don't pay attention to that kind of thing because it isn't important to you and doesn't bother you.![]()
