I had it for almost 20 years...horrible disease but there are drugs and new medical equipment to help you deal.

well since its been nearly 2 months, I figured I should update you. I was experimenting with medicines to find out which worked better. I am now on elmiron($300 each monthly fill in, yikes ). I take elmiron 3 times a day which stinks. I am also having recurrent UTIs for whatever reason. Alot of people are more understanding though which I'm thankful for. Except for my algebra teacher who yelled at me because he said it was impossible for me to use the bathroom 20-30 times a day . I'm doing okay though. I'm just glad I'm not dying.

I hope you have some relief & don't forget the old stand-by, a hot water bottle or heating pad. After 20 years I just have light break outs here and there.

Luckily for me, I don't get the pain most ICers get. I just have a bladder thats out of control. Well I hope I go into remission soon, that would make me happy seeing as I will be in college next year.
