Able to get 2BR Villa reservation!

I was able to FINALLY get a 2BR Villa Reservation today through AAA! I tried to call directly on my own afterward and was told the same story; Villas will not be released to genral public until 3-6 months before my date of arrival; may 15, 04. Way to go AAA! I am there!

Just curious.....is this the policy for other villas...OKW/BWVs....any did you get any discount through AAA>?

Did you know about "renting points" from a DVC member? It's a little risky but you save a bundle - visit the rent trade board for info - and they can book the rooms 11 months out if it is their home resort - and I think ...is it 8 months out for a non home resort???

Not sure. My rate is $729/night which includes all taxes, etc. Rack Rate, not including taxes is $670/night. I'm happy with the room. AAA said if $$$ saving codes become available, I can apply them @ any time. I'm just glad to have the actual reservation.

I checked my points chart and you could get a 2 bedroom for a week from a DVC member for 314 points and the going rate for points is usually 10.00 a pint.So you could geet the week for 3140.00.
