I was able to use an old ticket for Fast Passes.

I'm sure I'm the last person to find this out, but definitely going to try this from now on. On my DL trip in October I found a discarded park hopper ticket which no longer had visits left on it (I asked). Out of curiousity I tried it on a Fast Pass machine and it successfully dispensed a valid ticket. (both at DL and DCA)

I recently got back from a 4 night stay at the Disneyland resort, brought that ticket along with me and it was still working. I also found another discarded expired ticket which also worked. I'll bring any others I can find along with me to my next trip and try them out.

If anyone is going soon and has old tickets please experiment for me :magnify: :teacher: .

We did the same thing. Also, our Halloween Treat tickets worked for fast passes as well on our last trip in November, a month after we used them for the party.

Wow. I have a ton of older tickets from last year before we got our APs.

I wonder if it's just reading the barcode if the tickets are from 2008, KWIM?

The only bad thing about this is that if word gets widely out, all of the fast passes will be gobbled up very quickly....

I wouldnt worry about the secret getting out, we can all keep a secret right?:rotfl2: :lmao: (totally said with love!!:lovestruc )

I would feel soooooooo guilty doing this. Seriously......I would just feel uber guilty everytime I tried to use one of those passes. LOL

Well, I would feel guilty using the expired tickets to get extra's but would not feel guilty about using them as a convenience to assist the fast pass runner technique, without taking the other parties method to ingress and egress. Hmmm...

I tried this in 07 but no luck. . . hmmmmmmm, me thinks it is worth a second try though. . . :)

I personally do not believe that I would bother to use that method. Because I so far anyway, have had no issues with receiving a fast pass. I mainly collect those for Indy.

Seems almost mean but I might try it lol Does it only work with tickets from that year??

We did not actually "try" this on purpose. I had the Halloween Treat tickets in the thing I wear around my neck that holds all FP and AP's during our trip from the prior trip. Went to get a FP and inadvertently grabbed one and stuck it in....and BAM...a FP came out.

It just so happend that I had DH's AP with us and he had not yet arrived....his AP worked too.

So, for that one day, there were 3 of us (me and the kids) and we had 9 tickets we were able to use to get FP. It was a Saturday, we arrived around 3ish so we used all 9 all day and boy did we get a whole lot done. So much so that the next two days I was totally worn out.

Anyways, I did like the AP working though, that helps if it still works going forward.....

Maybe it works up to the valid date. Usually when you buy a ticket it's valid up to January of the next year so it doesn't know it's been used it's just a year of bar code service. :lovestruc

I'm very surprised this works, simply because we've had our current tickets (and AP) not work for FP. They were not properly validated at the gate (at least that was the explanation we got) for that day, so they did not work in the machines.
