I'm really in no position to answer this, considering I really scared myself on my last visit to the ladies' room when I realized just how desperately I need a haircut myself -- which may or may not necessitate the need to remove the Justin Bieber look from my own forehead.
i am happy to report that ds, who just started high school, decided last month that the look was too soft (he didn't put it that nicely) and he was much more edgy than that.
Hopefully they will all still think that look is cool when they are old and their hairlines are receding.......it will be the comb-over for their generation.....

UGH! i'm so sick of that hairstyle! i call it "the flap" and almost every boy in my DD's 7th grade class has it! they're constantly slinging their heads to get the "flap" out of their eyes! bring those scissors over here! lol
Honestly, I think it's better than the Leo DiCaprio center-parted hair boys had when I was that age (ala Dean on Gilmore Girls).
Besides, gotta give kids something to tease them about with their children, right?

Can't help with the bieber issue though. My oldest and youngest boys wear their hair short and tight and the middle one has a wicked mohawk, we are training it for liberty spikes.
