I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

"Something is wrong with the earth"...Joaquin is wise beyond his years.

Your lip, hair, and shirt colors match perfectly. Color me impressed ;)

NOT LITTLE KIDS' FINGERS IN YOUR BEER!!! Ahhhh.

Ugh those DOH bars look so good! I usually regret eating deep fried things, but I love them so.

Joaquin is definitely a wise one.

Haha, thanks. I take cosmetics very seriously.

I regret eating deep fried things to, but only after the fact. :lmao:

What a great update! Something IS wrong with the earth in Florida! :lmao:

Love your dad's face on the boat ride over. And HOW can you cross only one eye? That's out of control.

I've never eaten at Raglan Road, but I would have had the same exact response if I had a nephew who did what Joaquin did with the finger in the foam. The pork chop you got looks DELICIOUS. I would definitely eat that too. How were the mashed potatoes with it? Sometimes when they look like that, they're not any good at all but sometimes they're badass.

I just can't get behind a deep fried candy bar. I can understand the draw, but I don't think I would like it much! (who am I kidding, I know that's just my lack of gallbladder talking - I would love it, but my stomach would hate it)

My family would have been waving like crazy too. My mom and I do that on the boats now, and no one even tells us to. :rotfl: It's just good boating procedure to wave incessantly until someone waves back!

I honestly have no idea how I can cross one eye. It just happens. I've always been able to do it and my Mom can too. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it's genetic.

Everything at Raglan was really good. I highly recommend it.

I couldn't get behind a deep fried candy bar either. Until I had one for the first time. Now there's no hope for me.

Great CM's sure do make a day even better don't they! Love the video's and clearly I think we would all agree that you were the best group of boat people ever in Disney:lmao:

Great CM's really do make it all better, that's for sure.

Hahaha, thanks. We're pretty crazy.

OMG, you can cross one eye!!!! You know what that means... WITCH!!! Yeah, I'll still be your friend though. :)

Raglan Road. Wow, I've heard so many good things but have never been. I'd be quite upset though if I wasn't seated to watch the entertainment.

OMG I can so picture your group waving like insane people at the passing boats. Maybe that will show up in someone else's TR.

Rick and George!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Your family is so awesome!

Thankfully for all of us, I am not a witch. ;)

It's a great restaurant, I highly recommend it. And when you can actually see the entertainment, it's tons of fun.

We've very likely shown up in many people's TR's. "And then there were these crazy people......"

Yup. My Mom's name is George. :rotfl2:

Great update!!!

Thanks my dear.

I'll still be your friend, but only if you use your crosseye for good and not evil :rotfl2:

Oh wow, doh bars. look. amazing! Actually all the food at Raglan looked yummy, except the shepard's pie. Although I'm sure it tasted better than it looked.

And Guiness, nice choice. Haha, I can't believe you made Joaquin cry, although your first four reasons make tons of sense.

Glad you had a fun boat ride too, and I loled at the lightsaber fight :goodvibes

I only ever use my crossed eye for good. Haha.

They are incredible. Definitely get one the next time you visit. The shepherd's pie was really good. They just made it differently from a visual perspective than I've seen it before.

I scared the living daylights out of the child. I felt so bad, but at the same time, he survived, so we're all good.

The lightsaber fight was hilarious. Joaquin is very competitive...and aggressive.

Awesome update!!! Raglan Road looked great. And I can just imagine your crew on the boat yelling at all the other boats! :rotfl2:

I haven't been able to watch the videos yet because I have a small person pestering me nonstop, and I want to actually be able to enjoy them. ;)

BTW, you will see the eat-after-midnight version of your yeti make a big appearance in my TR! :thumbsup2

Ah, love Raglan Road! Though a child's finger in my beer would not be the best start. I actually let my son try a finger dip of beer thinking the taste would cause him to no longer be interested in my beer - nope, only made him want it more :sigh:

Oh, and we always get dessert there because we can't not get the bread pudding

Can't wait for more updates!

Yes, we indeed do have issues. No joke. :lmao:

Haha, small people pestering definitely puts a damper on things sometimes. Hopefully you get to check them out soon.

Oohhhh, I can't wait! I actually have to get caught up today on everyone's TRs!

I had TOTALLY thought about just letting him taste it, thinking that it would cause him to not like it. But Joaquin is a strange child, and would likely be like your son and like it. So I scared the life out of him instead. :lmao:

I love the bread pudding too. But I had an important decision to make, based on the type of diet I eat now. It was one or the other. And I had been DREAMING about the DOH bar. :rotfl:

I would NOT want to get in a light saber fight with THAT boy! Ouch! :rotfl2:

Awesome CM piloting the boat. That was too much fun! Makes me want to take the boat the next time I have a choice!

Yummy dinner complete with yummy beer.

What a great evening!

"Something is wrong with the earth" -- I love it.

We love Raglan Road and Mark asked that I put it on the list for next summer.

What a fun CM...that is what Disney is all about!

Your videos are great...you guys sure are a lot of fun.

Man, no one wants to be in a light saber fight with Joaquin. He'll dominate, that's for sure.

The CM on the boat was so much fun, and exactly how I like CM's to be. It's exactly how I would be if I worked there!

He's a wise one, really.

Raglan is pretty great. Anywhere I can get Guinness is a good one on my list though.

We tend to get a little bit silly when we're together. Having the kids around just makes it an added bonus.

Ahhh Dani your family is so cute! Rick and George! And then did your dad say something about his "real wife"?? I would totally have waved back at your family on the boat just for the record.

Raglan Road is a fun place and I think Joaquin was just trying to get into the pub spirit! Perhaps not... however, foam just invites a finger dip don't ya think? :rotfl: (Loved the squirrel noooooo image.)

Despite your amazing one eye crossed talent I'll still be your friend.

Nice catch! My Dad indeed did say something about his real wife. He says stuff like that all of the time. They've been married for 42 years now, so my Mom is used to it. :lmao:

The foam was definitely somewhat inviting for the child. I can't disagree there. ;)

Awww, thanks! I'm glad you'll still be my friend even though I can cross one eye like a freak.

We LOVE Raglan Road! We went there three trips in a row because we enjoyed it so much. Bummer about not sitting in the main room. Because we are just two adults, we always stay for hours and just drink and listen to the band. So great!

Your brother really looks like your dad with his fried candy bar face.

The first time I went it was with my BFF Farrell, and we were fortunate enough to end up in the main room. We were able to just stay there for quite some time to enjoy the drinks and the band. With the kids, not so much, but that's okay.

I know, he really does look like my Dad. Sometimes, people don't see it, but it's very evident to me.

Hi DIS friends. At first I was thinking that I would do a recap of day 1, but I'm thinking of doing a giant recap at the end of the TR.

Let me know if you would prefer a recap after I end each day instead.

Saturday July 6, 2013

Thus we begin our second full day in the world. My plan for this day included Typhoon Lagoon in the morning. I figured that perhaps we would avoid the large crowds from the holiday weekend by avoiding "traditional" parks on Saturday.

I warn you. There will be swimsuit photos ahead.

We had a nice, pretty relaxed morning, as we weren't going to get to the park until around 10am.

Joaquin very sweetly shared his breakfast with Yeti.

Felt the need to take a snooze with him.

Aaaaaannnnnndddddd, subsequently dropped Yeti from the drop bunk.

Poor Yeti. He did survive the plunge, no worries.

While our morning started out pretty nice, we hit a couple of bumps along the way. We were all ready to go, headed down to the car, and hopped in. And then, we realized that the container (you know, one of the water proof ones you hang around your neck) with all of the park passes was left inside the room. So Mom ran in, grabbed the passes, came back out. And realized that she left the room key in the room. And it was the only room key we had for the day. Which meant we wouldn't have been able to eat at all at the park.

So before we could even go, we had to head to the main building at Saratoga Springs to get her room key reissued. She said the CM's were really nice about it, since she didn't have her ID on her (pretty much nothing but her pass), but we all had a mildly crabby moment just from all of this bumps along the way.

It's okay. The crabbiness was going to subside soon.

We made it to the park, and the lot was pretty full. There were people parking on the grass. So much for our less crowded plan.

We had a bit of a walk to the entrance.

It's a beautiful sight though.

The park was pretty crowded. We normally don't get lockers, I don't want to spend the money, and I want my sunscreen readily available.

Oh, and you guys will truly see how pale I am in life. Let me tell you, if you have pale skin, and burn easily, get Blue Iguana sunscreen. It's from Australia, and is the best sunscreen I've had. I put it on twice a day in WDW, which is unheard of for me, with a tank top, and I'm good to go. Great stuff. You can order online, it's hard to find in stores.

Anyhoodle....

We had a hard time finding seats, but eventually we found something that we could put our bags and shoes by to leave for the day.

Our first stop was the wave pool to get nice and soaked.

Don't mind any fingers in the picture. It was hard in the bright sunlight to take pictures sometimes.

And of course, there's a photopass photographer in the wave pool.

Of course, we had to have a Popadon goober picture for good measure.

We were waiting for the waves to begin.

I think Jeni was like "really? There are going to be waves in this thing? Yeah right...."

Joaquin was ready to give up on the wave.

Now.......let's talk about what happens in this next series of pictures, shall we?

See the wave starting in the back? Yup....it's coming.

Jeni was afraid Joaquin would get washed away and Gavin was trying to get to Poppy for protection.

Random lady in the background getting pelted with a wave.....priceless.

And this picture? Well, this is when the wave swept Joaquin out of Jeni's arm, I got jacked in the face by a Joaquin, and I somehow took a picture of nothing under water.

Gavin continued to get swept away.

And in the melee, Ommi, who was forgotten in the background, got swept to shore, and was needing help getting out of the water.

Yup. That's how we do at Typhoon Lagoon peeps!

Gavin learned this time and was running sooner. You see how Joaquin is with Jason now, as apparently he doesn't trust Jeni anymore after being swept into my face with the water.

Hehehe. That guys face to the right is pretty funny.

Joaquin trying to escape yet another wave.

I could legitimately look at pictures of that child running from the waves all day long. Should have taken video.

It was a great way to start our day and we spent a pretty decent amount of time in the wave pool just having fun and allowing littles to get washed to shore. Who doesn't love that!?

Up next: Wouldn't this lazy river be better with a swim up bar?!

That update put a smile on my face! Cutest pics ever! I got "caught" by the first wave on our first visit there....ME: How bad can it be! SHAN: Pretty strong mom, trust me! ME: Whatever you say dear! Now picture me after the wave with my knees all scraped up cause I didn't listen....I'm reminded of that every trip now :lmao:

Love the family photos....I love how much fun you all have together....awesome!

Hilarious photos of y'all the wave pool!! I could see the tension and drama building with each wave. :rotfl: TL is on my list to do next summer since we did BB this trip. That was a cute photo with your dad laying his head on your shoulder.

I'm still debating adding any photos of me in a swimsuit at BB in my TR! I may need to crop/edit them! :scared:

I like the title of your next installment already!

Hmmm too bad about the bumps causing some minor grumpies, but understandable. Glad they were washed away in the wave pool. I'm not a fan of wave pools. Apparently I have no balance or strength, because I get hurt in them every.freaking.time. I try them! So I've given up. :rotfl: Love the pictures of the kids in the waves though, glad they had a great time!

Thanks Rob...... I can cross one eye too so does that make me a witch too???:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Haha, nope, just Danielle... allegedly. I hear the gene can skip many generations.

End of TR recap works for me, but then again with my short attention span, maybe a daily recap would... Oh look, something shiny!

I am totally behind your theory of avoiding the regular parks on the weekends. These are usually the days I plan SeaWorld and the like as I don't find the same impact crowd wise.

Ooh, I think'll I'll now edit my earlier comment to read non regular parks are best on the weekends except when they're not. :thumbsup2

OMG I LOVED this update. I don't hear a lot about the water parks, and especially don't see pictures. The wave pool is nothing if not entertaining.
