I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

That was some serious light saber action happening. Your dad looks like he went to the Jedi Training academy! Makes me wonder how much those light sabers can stand.

You and your family are so cute and adorable and look like you are having a great time. ::yes::

Yep Popadon is a Jedi Master.... but very secretly....:rotfl2::rotfl2:he doesn't like to brag about it.:rotfl::rotfl:

I forgot to comment on the last update. So sorry about the puking. We have an EE story from this trip, but luckily puke wasn't involved. Poor kid (poor Tee Tee)

Pool time sounds excellent and looks fun. The pics of your brother and dad are priceless. The apple doesn't fall far huh? :rotfl:

I think we have the same beach towel. Target circa 2011?

Poor Yeti getting left out of the pool fun. Good call though.

Like you guys, we love our pool time! I always say we have the best of both worlds when we're in Disney....you can go go go but once you're at the pool, it's total relaxation and fun!

Great update!!

Love the video of the lightsaber fight, especially the "you've gotta activate it!" at the start lol.

Pool time is always fun! It's been SO LONG since I've had pool time on a trip! I planned numerous days for the pool this past trip and ended up either park hopping or staying at the park longer than I meant to and missing the pool time yet again lol!! One day!!

What fun pool time! I can imagine that a "quiet pool" would be a lot less quiet with your crew around! :rotfl2:

Glad gavin felt better quickly!

Pool time is the best when it's 100 people pants hot. Unless there's lightning dangit!

Can't seem to watch the videos through the app, but I do like joaquin's quote haha!

You are absolutely right about the lightening part. In July of 2011, we experienced having the exit the pool often due to the weather changing and a storm rolling in.

Considering the heat, the pool looks empty! Love underwater cameras - just don't take it in the hot tub. We learned this the hard way, we're on our second one because the first one developed a leak....

It was empty! Mainly because we were staying at the Treehouse Villas, and their pool just gets a lot less traffic than Saratoga's.

Duly noted....no camera in the hot tub. :thumbsup2

Yikes for getting the barf treatment! Poor Gavin! Poor you! :worried:

Ahhh pool-time to refresh and cool off, sounds perfect.

You and your family are so cute and adorable and look like you are having a great time. ::yes::

I know! This was our only bump in the road though on this trip, so we have a lot to be thankful for. :lmao:

Pop is most definitely a hidden Jedi Master. :rotfl:

Awww, thanks. We had a ton of fun on this trip.

Haha Papadon really steals the show doesn't he??

Good call on not getting Yeti wet. Curious, are you also not allowed to feed him after midnight?

Oh he indeed does steal the show. Seriously like every time.

If I feed him after midnight.....this happens......

Yep Popadon is a Jedi Master.... but very secretly....:rotfl2::rotfl2:he doesn't like to brag about it.:rotfl::rotfl:

Hahahahahahaha.

Oh dear. Too bad that if he really was a Jedi Master, we know him.....he wouldn't be able to keep his trap shut!

Oh thank goodness your EE story did not involve puke. I'd be happy if none of my EE stories every involved puke again.

It truly doesn't fall far from the tree.

That beach towel is actually a free one I got from Victoria's Secret many moons ago.

We never used to do pool time, but when it's warm, I definitely need it now. I agree, I like getting the best of both worlds. And I feel fortunate enough because I go often so I can do that combo.

Great update!!

I know right?! Joaquin's all like "no, you're doing it wrong!" :rotfl2:

You definitely need to put some pool time in. I greatly enjoy it now. We never used to do it often back in the day, but now that we go at least once a year, I can't not do pool time.

What fun pool time! I can imagine that a "quiet pool" would be a lot less quiet with your crew around! :rotfl2:

The pool would absolutely be a lot less quiet with us around. :lmao:

All caught up! It seems like y'all had such a fun trip (besides the barfing of course) and I love the videos!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Ah! Love the swimming pics and videos!! It makes me want to be on vacation and having fun in the pool!!

Haha, yeah, the barfing I could have done without, but meh, what can you do? :confused3:lmao:

Ah! Love the swimming pics and videos!! It makes me want to be on vacation and having fun in the pool!!

Doesn't it though?!

Oh man...sorry about getting puked on...I've had it happen, not fun! :crazy2:

Yay pool time looks like so much fun! I never ever have time for the pools at Disney, I'll go in maybe once and that's it, I really have to work on changing that!

Haha, good call on not getting the Yeti wet, all that fluff would have been a pain to brush out! :rotfl:

I begin this update with.....

All littles survived the filmed chicken fight. :rotfl2:

And I think for anyone who has watched the video of the lightsaber duel between Poppy and Joaquin, and the chicken fight between Joaquin and Gavin, you get a very good indication of just what kind of child Joaquin is. Hahaha!

After our nice relaxing pool time, we had to start getting ready for our dinner reservation, which was a new restaurant for everyone but me.

We took a lovely little stroll to the dock for the boat to DTD. And it started raining.

Nice. All fresh and showered from the pool and it rains. Nice Florida!

We made it to the dock pretty quickly, so none of us were soaked, but it was still not my favorite. And my hair ended up being a hot mess.

Joaquin and Gavin started calling the boats "butts" a la Finding Nemo.

"That's not our butt!!!!"

As we continued to wait and it rained, Joaquin wisely pointed out:

"Something is WRONG with the EARTH!"

Tell Florida that and we can move on.

On top of that, Joaquin started a new catch phrase for us on the trip.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, the five year old would start to use that at random times, for no reason. And so......we did too.

The butt came, and the butt driver was kind enough to give the kids doubloons!

Awwwwwkkkkwwwaarrd......

And still......

I have issues. And yes ladies and gentlemen, I can indeed cross one eye.

Will you still be my friend???

We were nearing our dinner destination in DTD.

Jason was messing around with Joaquin. And that kid, when he's on a roll, he's on a roll. As Jason is messing with him endlessly on the boat, he looks at Jason and goes:

"Daddy, you're wasting my time!!!!"

Doesn't everyone wish that at some point in our life, we had the wisdom to tell our parents that? Haha!

We took a leisurely stroll through DTD, since the boat stopped on the West Side for us. And soon, we found ourselves at our destination.

Mmmmmmm.

It was pretty busy, so after we checked in, we had a little bit of time to wait. Which isn't always a great thing when you have littles involved. We were wandering around the store for a while, and Joaquin is that child. You know, the one who when he has nothing to do, he just touches absolutely everything in sight? Yup, he did that all throughout the store, after he was repeatedly told to keep his hands off. Which resulted in a minor timeout in the corner for him before we went into the restaurant.

Thankfully, we were seated during Joaquin's time out. So we were saved from his pouting.

We weren't seated in the main area, which was kind of a bummer. We weren't able to see the dancers during dinner. The meal was still a lot of fun, but it would have been nicer if we had been able to see the entertainment.

We ordered our drinks, and this lovely came for me.

And as soon as it came to the table, Joaquin saw the lovely head of foam at the top and had no idea what it was. So he proceeds to reach over, stick his finger in the beer, and began to bring his finger up to his mouth.

That was me in that exact moment.

Poor Joaquin. I scared the bejeezus out of him and he started crying right there. In my defense...

1) He stuck his finger in my drink.
2) He stuck his finger in my drink.
3) He stuck his finger in my drink.
4) He stuck his finger in my drink.
5) Oh yeah, and it was beer.

We wiped his finger off, told him why he shouldn't have done it, and I gave him a kiss. Just so he didn't think I was mad at him.

We moved on to ordering. And Jason and I enjoyed our drinks.

I had a the pork chop.

Mom, Jeni, and Joaquin had shepherd's pie.

Jason had steak, and Gavin had a kids steak.

And Dad had the special, which was seared scallops and pork belly.

We had a few soups too. A few got the cabbage, bacon, and potato, and others had the beer and cheese soup.

Dinner was a log of fun, and apart from the "finger in my beer" incident, everything went off without a hitch.

Did we get dessert? Not at Raglan Road, no. Why would that be?

Um, hello, because Cooke's of Dublin is around the corner, with DOH BARS!

Can I explain the goodness that is a DOH bar? No, I can't properly give this deep fried Snickers the glowing review that it deserves. Which is why we will let Jason's face do the talking.

Incredible, melty, hot, chocolatey, goodness. That's what it is. Listen, if you've turned your nose up to a deep fried candy bar in the past, get over it, come to your senses, and get a DOH bar! You won't regret it, I promise!

Unless you don't like chocolate.

Oh and if you have a peanut allergy. Then I disavow all knowledge of ever recommending it.

Our dinner actually took quite some time, and our walk back to the West Side to catch our boat was a nice stroll. Oh, but we had to stop at the Candy Cauldron of course. So we could pick up Jelly Bellies and other various treats.

We had the best boat ride back to our villa. We had a CM that was just so much fun and so awesome. Jason was being Jason and mashing Joaquin's face and having him make noise. So the CM goes "that would be amazing if you did that on the mike!"

So, well....check out this video.

The CM also noticed my parents anniversary buttons. So he asked them their names. And if you watch the video below, you'll see what my Mom said her name was. Silly lady.

This CM was incredible. He said that we needed to make sure that we wave at every passing vehicle and person, even if it gets awkward, until they wave back at us. He didn't even realize who he was dealing with and who was on his boat!

Because you tell us that, and we will start waving and shouting like lunatics at every passing boat, until we are blue in the face.

Therefore, the CM told us that we were the best boat group he'd ever had, and that he wished we could stay on his boat forever and just be awesome.

We returned to our stop at the THV, and the CM said that our amazing 3 hour tour was coming to an end.

Gavin: Tee Tee, that was three hours?!

Oh gullible little child.

And because we are awesome adults, this video is evidence that yes....we do attempt to frighten our littles all the time.

And because we are also awesome adults, we make our littles fight with lightsabers. Video below.

Joaquin is such a little taunter. And you can hear Ommi the entire time telling him not to be so rough.

There indeed is a 3 1/2 year difference between these two. Amazing right?

We had such an amazing first full day, even with the puking episode. I would do that again in a heartbeat, because the whole day was still incredible.

Up next: Day 1 highlights and lowlights.

:rotfl:

It certainly wasn't my crowning achievement on the trip. :rotfl2:

We always make time for ample pool visits when the weather is hot. The trip is so much more enjoyable for us when we do that.

"Something is wrong with the earth"...Joaquin is wise beyond his years.

Your lip, hair, and shirt colors match perfectly. Color me impressed ;)

NOT LITTLE KIDS' FINGERS IN YOUR BEER!!! Ahhhh.

Ugh those DOH bars look so good! I usually regret eating deep fried things, but I love them so.

What a great update! Something IS wrong with the earth in Florida! :lmao:

Love your dad's face on the boat ride over. And HOW can you cross only one eye? That's out of control.

I've never eaten at Raglan Road, but I would have had the same exact response if I had a nephew who did what Joaquin did with the finger in the foam. The pork chop you got looks DELICIOUS. I would definitely eat that too. How were the mashed potatoes with it? Sometimes when they look like that, they're not any good at all but sometimes they're badass.

I just can't get behind a deep fried candy bar. I can understand the draw, but I don't think I would like it much! (who am I kidding, I know that's just my lack of gallbladder talking - I would love it, but my stomach would hate it)

My family would have been waving like crazy too. My mom and I do that on the boats now, and no one even tells us to. :rotfl: It's just good boating procedure to wave incessantly until someone waves back!

Great CM's sure do make a day even better don't they! Love the video's and clearly I think we would all agree that you were the best group of boat people ever in Disney:lmao:

OMG, you can cross one eye!!!! You know what that means... WITCH!!! Yeah, I'll still be your friend though. :)

Raglan Road. Wow, I've heard so many good things but have never been. I'd be quite upset though if I wasn't seated to watch the entertainment.

OMG I can so picture your group waving like insane people at the passing boats. Maybe that will show up in someone else's TR.

Rick and George!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Your family is so awesome!

I'll still be your friend, but only if you use your crosseye for good and not evil :rotfl2:

Oh wow, doh bars. look. amazing! Actually all the food at Raglan looked yummy, except the shepard's pie. Although I'm sure it tasted better than it looked.

And Guiness, nice choice. Haha, I can't believe you made Joaquin cry, although your first four reasons make tons of sense.

Glad you had a fun boat ride too, and I loled at the lightsaber fight :goodvibes
