I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

OK - THAT is creepy! :scared1:

Ha! It did turn out a bit creepier than I thought it would when I finally zoomed in.

Yeti drank all of your beer so you allowed a dino friend to use him as dental floss?

Nice one Shan!

Uhhhhh I see a scary case of plaque on that dino's chompers!! :confused3

A very fuzzy case of plaque indeed.

"Excuse me, Mr. Dino... You've got a little... Just a little something... Right there in your tooth..."
Or maybe epic hide and seek? Yeti hides where none dare to seek?

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Hehehe.

I just hate it when ya get something stuck in your teeth and there's NO DENTAL FLOSS...ugh!!

I know right! Especially when a Yeti gets jammed up in there.

Yeti finally gave up on waiting to get fixed on Everest, so he decided to end it all?

:rotfl2: So true. So so true.

:rotfl2: "goodbye cruel world!" :rotfl2:

:lmao:

Poor Yeti.... Dino was just being nice and smelling him and Yeti smelled soo good that Dino got carried away:sad::sad:

Okay, I left off with this little tidbit of "What the Heck is Going On In This Picture?!"

I love the guesses everyone had! Let's reveal the real picture, shall we?

Yup. Most of you guessed right. Yeti somehow got himself stuck in a dino's teeth.

In my mind, I'm going to say that he was going to lend a hand and be a fuzzy toothpick. However, I do like Rob's "he wanted to end his life because no one has fixed him on his ride yet...."

:lmao:

Soooooooo........

We were going to take the littles on Dinosaur.

No we didn't warn them.

Yes, we understand that they are likely going to get scared.

They might be damaged.

But.......come on, it's funny!!!!

Wait, let's get some of our kids in here.

Oh yeah, and Yeti was in there pre-fuzzy toothpick.

Oh wait, nope. He's still a fuzzy toothpick.

This was our pre-ride excitement level.

The wait time was only 10 minutes. Not abnormal for Dinosaur. Here's the rundown on Gavin and Joaquin.

Joaquin is pretty fearless. He doesn't ask many questions. He just goes with the flow, would bungee jump if you told him he'd have fun. Really. Gavin on the other hand would talk himself out of riding Peter Pan. I'm serious. Every time on this trip we would get in line, and he would start asking about the ride. What does it do? Is it fast? Is it dark? Am I going to go to a certain death?

Our general adult answer?

Not exactly that. But close. We just told him to stop worrying about it. Because Gavin is the kid, again, that would talk himself out of going on Peter Pan.

Our set up was simple. Jeni, Gavin, Pop, and me in one row, and Mom, Jason and Joaquin in the front.

Oh ALSO....Joaquin is particularly attached to Daddy and Ommi. So it's very rare you'll see him on a ride with anyone else. For real, the kid wants nothing to do with anyone else. :lmao:

So the outcome? Well.

Let's take a closer look, shall we....because "What the heck is wrong with my family?"

Jeni and I were thoughtfully pondering what our next moves were.
Gavin seemed a little wary.
Pop was clearly terrified.
Jason was catching flies.
Joaquin was going to burst into tears.
And Ommi was being the only responsible adult, mildly terrified (acting), but clearly remembering that there was a little on the ride with her demonstrated by her holding his hand lovingly.

Mom had given the boys the "remember, everything is pretend, nothing is real".

Gavin did great! Much better than we anticipated him to. This would not continue this day (foreshadowing).

Joaquin on the other hand, BURST into tears when we left the ride. He was absolutely horrified about what had happened. Ommi did the Ommi thing and consoled him, telling him that it was all pretend.

The rest of the adults?

I'm kidding, I'm kidding!

He was honestly over it very quickly after that. Because we mentioned lunch, and that kid will get over pretty much anything for food.

We headed to Restaurantasaurus for lunch. For two reasons:

1) It was right next door.
2) We wanted to go to Flame Tree Barbecue, but it was hotter than having 100 people in your pants, so......yeah.

Similar to our encounter at Pizza Planet.....the tour groups descended!!!!!

Let's revisit.

Well, here, they were smart. The sent all tour groups to the left, and made the rest of us to the right. Which meant, there was no line!!!!!!!!!!

Our orders were:

Me: Veggie sub.
Pop: Cheeseburger.
Jason and Jeni: Mac and Cheese Hot Dog
Ommi: Chicken Nuggets
Joaquin: PB&J (Uncrustable Katt!!!! Woot woot!!!)
Gavin: Kid's cheeseburger.

So a small aside here. And some people may not agree with us here. But Jeni and Jason try to limit the sweets that the kids eat, even on vacation. So our plan was that their treats would be picked out very thoughtfully. Obviously, they'd get a treat every day, but it would be worth it, right?

So the kid's meals say "comes with grapes and carrots" or something similar right. So we order the kids meals. I know you can substitute, but we choose not to. And what do they do here?

Give the kids grapes and a cookie!

So when they brought it to the counter for us to take, Jeni and I both said at the same time "no, no cookies, can we get the carrots?"

The CM thought we were crazy, but we had this planned out. No stupid cookies for these boys. They're getting treats that are worth it!

My veggie sub. I love this thing, except I'm sad they took away the sweet potato fries.

They do eat carrots you know.

And Yeti got in a sand pail. I think he was trying to tell us it was hot and he wanted to go to the pool.

Up next: Littles.....crying.....everywhere!

Haha, yay, a shout out!! Yeti NEEDS to be fixed!

OMG, Gavin sounds EXACTLY like a friend of mine in ride lines. Like IDENTICAL!! It's scary. The difference of course is that he is decidedly NOT a little kid. The other difference is my friend usually bails by the time we reach the front.

:rotfl2: AWESOME ride photo. Totally a perfect time to ponder what to do next. And your Pop is just flat out :cool2:

How great that they sent the tour groups a different way. And totally the right thing to do. :thumbsup2

Uh oh... crying...

Oh my I’ve missed way too many updates, Imma finish before work starts! Yay!

Well, looks like a great morning to go to AK! Love the pink!! What is it? Is it temporary?! So cool!

Bahaha, Imma get so lost driving around Disney for the first like, year, it’s gonna be rough! You guys took the littles on Dino?! AHHH I would die, heck I die now and I know what’s coming!! Love the ride picture though!!

Yay!! Shout out for Uncrustables!!!

I definitely agree with the minimal treats, I do it to myself, lol, and would definitely do it to a kid, they don’t need all that! Lol.

Danielle, great update.

I love the ride photo with the boys...very cute (and, of course, grandma is going to offer comfort). You not even looking at the camera but looking over the guide is awesome:thumbsup2).

Those tour groups can drive you nuts; glad they had them go one way and you guys another.

I agree on the treats...one special one a day. Unless, of course, it's me then I have to have several. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I totally agree with limiting sweets to children - I include juice in this as well.

I do NOT get all the uncrustables hoopla. I see a LOT of TRs where people are super excited about these. What makes them so great???? I really want to know! :rotfl:

I STILL don't know where that dino is. :headache:

My kids are the same. The oldest will ride anything. The youngest will chicken out on you at any moment.

Love your Dinosaur photo !! So funny.

No cookies !?! I'm calling CPS !!!

Oh that last sentence ... littles crying everywhere. Very ominous (womp, womp). Because it is all fun and games until the littles start to cry.

2) We wanted to go to Flame Tree Barbecue, but it was hotter than having 100 people in your pants, so......yeah.

Oh sweet Jesus, I think I love this quote more than anything in the world today. :rotfl: Also, that Dinosaur picture is definitely in the top 2 or 3 of ALL TIME that I've seen! I mean, come on! These kids are learning LIFE LESSONS here!!

I only rode Dinosaur once and kept my eyes closed the whole time...NO shame whatsoever, that's some scary business right there! :scared1:

I was definitely like Gavin when I was little. I was terrified of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at one point...

I think I need to right click and save the "Shut Your Butt" lion :rotfl: good find!

Priceless ride photo. So many great things going on...

I agree that if you're going to only have one treat a day, you have to save it for something better than counter-service cookies! Cupcakes over everything!

Too funny that Joaquin was the one scared of Dinosaur. In reality, I think he was really just scared of Popadon! He does look pretty darn terrified. Way to work it for the camera Popadon! :rotfl2:

I love the veggie sub! So good, but why no sweet potato fries? They are the best. I also think it needs a whole wheat roll. Just saying! :confused3

Fun update!

Uh oh... crying...

I had to give you the shout out, because it's so true. That sucker needs to be fixed!

Isn't it funny when adults are like that? It cracks me up. Kids I understand more, but adults it's like "what's wrong with you?!" :lmao:

We decided we wanted it to be an epic photo. Gotta have it that way!

The pink is temporary. It's Anastasia Beverly Hills hair powder. You'll see the next day it washed right out.

Yup, we totally took the littles on Dinosaur. We really have no shame.

I thought of you with the Uncrustables. I totally should have taken a picture of one.

We agree wholeheartedly that kids don't need all that. It creates too many problems!

Danielle, great update.

Of course Ommi would offer comfort. I wouldn't expect any less from her. It was actually a really sweet thing that I had noticed when we got the photos.

I agree on the treats too!

We just wanted the kids to enjoy their treats, and honestly, they don't need that much sugar. But people shouldn't think we deprived them, we didn't. :thumbsup2

I love your family's approach to Dinosaur! But Pop in the Dinosaur picture? BEST thing about the entire update!!! :rotfl2:

I love that you took those kids on Dinosaur without any warning. That ride is just so good!
