I Want To Run The 2008 Half! Need Help!

I've been working out like crazy, and am currently running the Animal Kingdom's 5K. I ran the 1/2 Marathon last year. I have now decided that I want to run it again because my training has gone so well. Is there anyone out there who knows someone that is registered and can't run? (of course I'll pay their entry fee!) Is there an organization that I could donate to and get a spot? Please help!! PM me with any information! Thanks so much!

Wow, there is an Animal Kingdom 5k? I've been working out for about 6 months and I'm now doing 3 miles in about 44 minutes. I work out at the gym 4 to 5 times a week and do the treadmill. Would love to find out about future disney runs.

If you obtain an entry via buying from another registrant you will not be admitted. It is not permitted to do so and your ID is checked at the entrance to pick up race packets.

If you want to participate in one of the teams raising funds you could check with Team in Training, Train to End Stroke, there are others that hold spots for their fundraisers. Check with the registration folks and perhaps you can get more information from them.

It is too bad they don't allow you to transfer your registration. My dh and I are both registered and paid and cannot attend now.

You might also want to try www.atcp.org . They are the ones that we registered with for the 5k because it had already filled up on the Disney site. I believe the minimum you can raise for them is $500.00. That's what DS6 and I are doing. We each have to raise $500.00. You might want to check it out though, they might have a few entries left.
