I want to ride the cotton ball--A 4th of July family celebration! NEW PTR 8/31!!!

What a wonderful last morning! I can't believe the crowds that weren't there. They must have all been sleeping in!

Awww...what a wonderful last day! :goodvibes
Such a great bonus to ride Splash so many times in a row!
I was :rotfl: that you used the word "festooned!" When do we ever get a chance to say that? :lmao:
The last look at the castle as you walk away. :sad1: So very sad....but as you said the next trip is right around the corner! But still...we all know that feeling.

Tracy

Wow! I never would have guessed that it would be so quiet at the MK the day after the Fourth! What a wonderful way to end your vacation!!! :goodvibes

Your last day was magical beyond words! It must have been so great having the park to yourselves...

Lucky you heading out on vacation. We report back to school on the 12th of August..

How many days until our December trips?

EEWWW... August 12??!! yuck! Teachers report back August 23rd I think it is, that Monday... I work 12 mos., so it all blurs together for me, but summer is still a great time... So yes, as of today we still have three weeks before teachers come back... and four until students...

But we stay in school until June 16...

It was really funny how empty it was Tour Guide Mike KNEW what he was talking about!!!! :thumbsup2 His words were haunting me, and that is why I changed my plans at the last minute.

Let's see.... I have to check my ticker!!!! NOT SOON ENOUGH!! :)

But I know it is just going to sail by! :goodvibes

Wow, your last day sounds fabulous and I am so surprised that there wasn't any one there. Can't get any better than that. I also get sad the last day because you have to go back to reality.

If we don't use all our credits I am going to stop at DTD to use them up before leaving.

I know, darn it when vacation ends! And that shock is really acute with Disney I think! Especially if you have been on the DDP or something like that, totally sheltered from everything!!!! My DH laughs when we are on property he says, OH NO, we are getting TOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to the "reality line" We must stay on Disney property or I will turn into a pumpkin... (meaning the interstate or the roads that take you out of the resort area)

Well, if you fly or drive home and want something to take along for the trip home, the Pizza traveled well!!!! We had drinks cookies and the pizza which was perfect right before the train, so it worked out well for us. We used up all our credits that way, but we had planned on that. And Goofy's is a great place to finish the snack credits up!

what a wonderful way to end your trip!!
I've enjoyed reading about your adventures and hope you do another report for your next trip:goodvibes
Oh thanks! I will, most definitely! It is fun to document a year of Disney trips! Why not?!! Especially Christmas. I am going to take a lot of notes and pics for this trip... I have a few more posts here, then I'll wrap it up!

So happy that I had some readers joining along!!! :flower3: Thanks!

YES!!! I think so!! Hey, Tour Guide Mike said as much, so I totally bought his advice for December, are you kidding? I am not walking into that trip blind!!! hence your assistance with my Christmas lists!!!!!

I know!!! Gotta love those random words, but the Liberty Belle was indeed festooned!!!! :rotfl: And YES it was a quick dash around the kingdom for a few hours, but we got our favorites in, just a few, and it was nice to just be there without the mob... I think it had everything to do with the 4th of July celebrations, and everyone either leaving that day, or sleeping in!

I know! I did take a few more pics, outside the park, but that was it of course. It sure made it easier to say good bye, because I knew we were coming back soon! :goodvibes

ME either!! So TG Mike is THE MAN! And it was a nice way to end! I can't wait to get back! Hey! I saw your new ticker!!!!! ;) Go ahead and finish that TR so you can start your PTR, you know you want to !!!!!

Hey there everyone!!!! :goodvibes

Well, I had intended to get that final post written before I left for my two weeks out west, but it is after 10pm and I have NOT packed a lick, and we are leaving the house at 5:30am tomorrow... CAN you believe it! Not Disney, obviously!!!! :rotfl: SO, that being said, I have gathered my notes and receipt totals, and will bring these along with me, so I can write that final entry while I am hanging out in Oregon! I will have oodles of time there. So be on the look out for it!!!

I did want to say that I really had so much fun writing this silly thing, and the PTR of course, and have enjoyed befriending all of you who have posted on either -- :surfweb: is that befriend or beDIS?!!!! I will ALSO be able to catch up on my reading since there are several PTRs and TRs that I am behind on! I don't think anyone leaves this weekend, though, but I want to make sure I get to read them!

Anyhoo, I will be back for that final update in a few days... :wave2:

So so great that morning looked! There truly was nobody. I so wanted to see the Trolly and that performance on Main Street. Next time I am going to find it for sure. I could sure do a Splash Mountain Marathon!

I agree the Contemporary QS was so nice and good!

Hope you are having a great trip right now!

Your last day was just amazing! How great that you had the place to yourselves! That is some serious Pixie Dust!

Okay I am very excited to catch up on everyone else's reports tonight! I want to know where everything is in the world of pre and post trippies!! :surfweb:

How long did it take you and the kids to get use to the time change? My grandchildren are from the west coast and I feel bad that they have to get up so early as it is like getting up in the middle of the night.
