"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

What cute clothes!! I love the hula girl for 'Ohana!

Thanks! Madison really likes it and can't wait to wear it.

Cute Clothes! I'm going to have to look in ON. We are also going in September, never been that time of the year, always in July. Everyone keeps telling me its still hot bring tank tops and shorts.

:):):)

ON has some really cute stuff right now. We get all of our new "flow" at the beginning of each month. We should still be getting in new summer stuff next month too. I've heard that Sept is even hotter than the summer months!!!

I love your clothes!! And I tell you what...it is so dang hot here...little sundresses w/jacket (for church or cold restaurants) or billowy skirts and shirts are so much cooler than shorts!!!!!
I reeeeeeaallly like Madi's Hula shirt!!

Thanks Shawna! Light weight dresses are definately more comfy than shorts. I love that Hula girl shirt too.

Fun shopping purchases! As soon as I saw that leopard print tank I thought of AK. As for some of the rest, I think they can easily be used for park hopping. Some of them look ambiguous enough that you they could work for two different parks. They all look super cute and comfy. I like to dress my little gal in disney themed apparel, but I tend to wear my normal clothes. I wasn't able to plan out my outfits for each day because it was just so hot in August! I always love seeing other people plan out their outfits though in the PTRs.

Leopard print is perfect for AK. I'll fit right in! I could definately wear most of my shirts at any park. I'll have to look over my ADR's and see which one fits best. I LOVE planning out my outfits!!! It's so much easier when I wake up in the morning.

Hey Meaghan...you are definitely not alone in planning your outfits around your park days. I do that too!;) Adds to the fun!:)

Love the Hula Girl shirt! That is awesome for the Poly!!!:)

And I definitely think I know who you are referring to from the Snowbirds thread!;) Love her!

There was also someone from the GF thread who was the queen of planning outfits for her trips. I loved reading her reports just to see what she and her daughter would be wearing!:goodvibes I miss her too!:sad2:

I love planning my outfits! Then again, I just LOVE planning!!! I'm super excited to see the Poly, so our outfits definately need to fit in there. There are so many DISers that I miss "seeing" around the boards. I with they'd all come back.

I didn't really "match" our clothes to the park we were going to, but I still spent months deciding what to wear-- just another fun part of trip planning!! I love the dress you're going to wear to your cousin's bridal shower-- soooo cute!

Oooh loved the shopping pics!! :)

I love the flowy tops and dresses. I have to stock up on those before our trip!!

Just joining in on your PTR....I love your scrapbooking! That is one of my favorite parts of Disney trips, being able to buy fun paper and stickers!

One of my favorite investments for scrapbooking has been my SELPHY CP780 canon photo printer. It's great for scrapbooking because you can reprint as many pics as you want, in case of creative cutting mistakes. :-) I used to order pics online as well, but it's so convenient to have the pictures right away. :-)

:welcome: and thanks for reading! Scrapbooking is definately my new favorite hobby. I had a Kodak photo printer, but I kind of broke it. :sad1: It was a bit old and it started to not work properly. And.....I kind of got impatient one day and got a piece of photo paper stuck inside of it. :sad2: So, I don't think my DH will let me invest in another photo printer any time soon.

I definately had a Disney day today. While reading the paper, I came across this article:

Buffalo News Article

The picture of Cinderella Castle is MUCH bigger in the actual paper. Needless to say, it put a HUGE smile on my face. :goodvibes

We decided to join Netflix the other day because you can now instantly watch movies through your Wii! It's awesome! While signing up, I also requested "Alice in Wonderland". We got our Wii disc AND "Alice" yesterday in the mail! :woohoo: Madison had never seen "Alice" and my DH and I hadn't seen it in quite sometime. We just got done watching it and we all enjoyed it SOOO much. :thumbsup2 Madison has decided that she'd really like to be Alice for Halloween now. Alice really is a great Disney character (and I never realized how much she sounds like Wendy from "Peter Pan").

While my DH was out running a quick errand, Madison and I threw in the 2010 Disney planning DVD!!! The "it's the time of your life" song always gives me goosebumps. Even though those planning dvds don't change very much from year to year, they are still so much fun to watch.

So, that was our Disney Day!!!! In some planning news, I'm trying to find a good backpack for Tony to carry in the parks. He HATED the messenger bag he carried last year and I think we might have thrown it out (it was in rough shape and I got it for free with a cologne purchase a few years ago). I saw a thread about backpacks here on the boards and a lot of people were recommending a cheap backpack from Walmart.

Backpack

It's inexpensive, not bad looking and it seems durable. Tony's not sold on carrying a backpack, but I told him he doesn't have a choice! We need someone to carry a few water bottles, some snacks, the ponchos and Madison's "Guide to the Magic" book (we would like to get her a new one since her other one is all filled up). I don't intend to fill the backpack up to capacity or anything. Madison carries her own little backsack with her autograph book, pen and pressed penny book and I carry a VB hipster with my essentials (camera, slim wallet, pen, trip journal, lip balm, cell phone, band-aids).

I love all the clothes! Thanks for the pictures, I love virtual shopping! I don't think matching your clothing to the park is crazy, I think it's brilliant!

Thanks! I just love planning everything about my trips. However, once we get to the parks, I just try to relax. I usually have a semi-plan for each day, but I don't plan out minute-by-minute details.

Hey Mdghan...I am pretty sure that's the same backpack we have...ours is Blue, but it was from Wal-Mart...I think Mike has brought it to WDW about 5 times...and he uses it when he goes to the gym...very durable!!!

Good to hear!!! I just want something that is inexpensive and will hold up for awhile. :thumbsup2

What a fun Disney day! I might have to check out that Netflix/Wii thing. We used to have Netflix years ago, but we found that we'd have 3 DVDs just sitting around and we never had time to watch them. (or MADE time)

We go through spurts. Sometimes we'll watch 2-3 movies a weekend. Right now I want to see The Blind Side.

FWIW, I carry a little backpack at the parks. I have had it about 10 years and it is awesome for me. Very small. I can put it on one shoulder or both, and I can sometimes stuff it into the pouches on rides (like RNRC). It would probably carry a couple of bottles of water. I usually have ponchos, room keys, some cash and a CC. Maybe a brush.

One of the best ideas I've heard is to carry a chamois cloth. Have you heard that one?

We go through spurts with movies too. However, we just started watching The Office and we can watch all of the seasons through our Wii. We tivo a lot of the old episodes on TBS and the new ones on NBC. We're really excited to watch all of the episodes we haven't seen yet. We want to see The Blind Side too!

After 2 trips to WDW with my VB Hipster, I don't think I could ever carry anything else! I LOVE it! I don't have to take it off to get anything out of it and I can keep it on on most of the rides. I've never heard of a chamois cloth.

The chamois is just those things they use to dry off the car. I think that TV sales guy who died (sorry to sound insensitive) was peddling a ton of them packaged together at one time. But you can buy them at Wal Mart or similar, dirt cheap. They are highly absorbent and you can squish all the water out of them. Just keep it in a ziploc bag in your bag or backpack. You use it to dry off your kiddos after wet rides or rain. We haven't used one, but it sounds like a GREAT idea.

I'm only 1/2 way through your PTR so far but I wanted to comment before I forgot what I wanted to say. :rotfl: Thanks for commenting on mine so I could find yours! I love finding fellow Sept. planners, too!

Your plans for your ADR's look great! Can't wait to read more and see how the booking went. :) We LOVE CRT. I think that would be so awesome to go in costume. I will definitely have to keep that idea in mind! We're not going to MNSSHP this year. We're waiting for another year or so so DD will be a little older.

I  your scrapbook pages! I have some stuff to make a Disney scrapbook, too, but just haven't started it. I want to catch up on it before we go in September. I've been scrapbooking for a long time but just kinda stopped when I had my DD and haven't picked it up since. It's definitely time to start up again!

Well, I'm off to read the rest! :thumbsup2

Ooooo....like a Sham-Wow!!!!! I might have to buy some of those. I does sound like a great idea. :thumbsup2

Thanks for coming over!!!! Take your time catching up...I'm not going anywhere! I love all of the ADR's we have planned and I can't wait to eat at some new places. We're also really excited for MNSSHP because we've never been before. I've heard nothing but great things about it. I'm really happy with how my scrapbooking has turned out. You've reminded me that I need to pick up a few more stickers to spruce up a few of my pages.

I don't know if I told you this before, but we have been to the MNSSHP and MCMCP.....I looooved the Halloween one much more!!! It just seemed more fun---I like the fun-spooky stuff! The Christmas party we got rain and it was sooooo cold we had to buy mittens and hats!!!! My boys want to go back to the Christmas party for the gingerbread cookies and the hot chocolate...they don't even remember the 'party' part!!!!! Mike said, I can buy cookies and cocoa and save about $200!!!! The Halloween parade is soo cool...then the characters are hysterical!!! I am so glad you are getting to go--and the fall decorations are beautiful!!!!
