I'd like to go to Disney every year but -- my DH is not the Disney freak that I am and wants to vacation at other places too. There are other vacation spots?

I figured if I could make some extra cash then I could have my way :teeth: I'm thinking since I am a stay at home mom then e-bay is a good place to start but I have no idea what to sell.

What is good to get started with? I've read through the e-bay instructions and understand all that, I just need to figure what to sell.

Thanks for your input -- this Disney addict appreciates it!!

As with all things, do what you love. Pick something that you think you know something about or would like to learn about that sells on Ebay. A SAHM might know a little something about childrens toys, clothing or movies. ;) Or since you are here, maybe you know or want to learn something about Disney.

Then go to Ebay and at the top right of the homepage go to the "Site Map". Towards the bottom of the first column is "Completed Auctions", click on that. Then choose the category you would like to work in, and click on that. At the top of that page choose the "highest" option and you will have all the finished auctions that went for the most money in that category. Read this for a week or two to get a feel for what sells for how much. Then start looking for those things and list them on Ebay. It takes some practice to make this work. Sometimes you find something that just sold for buckets of money last week, and no one bids on yours. No one knows why....

But you must remain vigilant to this as the things that sell well, change constantly. It does not pay to get in a rut at Ebay!

Good luck and have fun or its not worth doing!

Ebay seems to be a haven for sellers with items that compulsive, spur-of-the moment buyers go for. Collectibles are an easy money in opportunity. I have sold everything from old clothes and costumes to instruments, videos, CDs, etc.

Also consider Amazon.com to sell your books. I have visited my local library's book sales, bought books for a dollar that sold at almost $100 in Amazon! I didn't always know what they were about. Just looked inside and chose the most recent editions. Try to find school and college textbooks too and you'll make a fortune. One year I made over $700 in books sold at Amazon.

Thanks for the input! I didn't know about the link on e-bay to look at completed auctions. And, I didn't know you could list your own things on Amazon. I have tons of books that I was about to give to Goodwill. I had checked into selling them on e-bay but the ones up didn't seem to be selling at all.

I'm pretty excited about it. I realize I'm not going to get rich off this but anything is better than nothing!

Thanks again for your help!!
