We are going the first week in october. It is fall break from school here where I work so I am off!

go down a few days early jenny so you can meet up with me and lainey too :)

I'm finally caught up! Sorry I wasn't posting in between your updates! When I DIS at work I can't see pictures...so I was reading the updates at work and then forgetting to come back on and reread it with the pictures! Now that I have, here are my comments lol

1) WWoHP looks fantastic! A lot of people were complaining about it but it's new and it was the summer time so I expect it to be crowded and for people to be grumpy. Depending on what we can afford, next time we go to WDW I may throw in a US/WWoHP day....I really want to ride Forbidden Journey just based on your reaction/experience!

2) I NEVER noticed that about the planes in the Indiana Jones show! I have a million and a half pictures and never noticed that they were just plus signs LOL Obviously, for good reason but I just never noticed it! And YAY for Kim getting into the show! How cool!

3) I've always avoided Chef Mickey's because so many people have complained about the food there not being all that great, but it looks like you guys had a GREAT time (and that VIEW!!!! ) I'd sworn off breakfast ADR's after this last trip but I might have to make a couple of exceptions....:rolleyes1

4) That stinks that you and Kris had an argument on your last night. At least we got it out of the way on our FIRST day! LOL I've noticed though that tension just seems to run higher in general when we're on a group trip. If it's just the two of us, we're usually pretty OK but when other people come along we seem to always be at each other's throats. Guess you need a redo with just you two!

5) I can't wait to go baaaaaaaack!!!!!!! I hate being home!

That stinks that pictures won't show when you DIS at work! I always DIS at work (shhhh) and have no problem with it, except that it's very slow sometimes.

You should definitely plan for an IOA day next time you're in Orlando. WWoHP is amazing! I mean, the movies brought everything to life, but being able to walk around it was so amazing. I love Disney but nothing there compares to how themed WWoHP is. Maybe it's because I love the books and movies so much, I don't know. But even the non-HP fans in the group (Adam, Alex, and Kris) thought it was awesome. And Forbidden Journey is incredible!

Chef Mickey's is great! It seemed like they separated groups without kids from all the hoopla. There's a main room with tables around the buffet and then there's a back section, that's where we were. The characters still come up but it's quieter and you get great views of MK. It's worth checking out!

The tension is definitely higher in a group. People don't want to do the same things, you have to try to accomodate everyone, and everyone gets on each other's nerves. We definitely need a re-do with just the two of us. I'm pretty sure we're going to go in 2012 for my 30th. I really want to stay deluxe (WL  ) but if not a mod. Something more romantic than the values at least! lol Plus, it'll probably be a longer stay so everything won't be as jampacked as this trip and we'll have time to relax. As soon as those 2012 rates come out, I'm booking and then I'll take advantage of whatever package comes along (fingers crossed for free dining!)

I can't wait to go back either!

I just begged DBF to figure out a financial plan for us so that we can go again in October and still be able to buy a house at the beginning of next year. We were going to forgo a WDW trip in 2011 so we could focus on getting our debt paid off and saving for a down payment but I think we can manage both if we try really hard. We'll have to see what happens after he crunches numbers tonight

We're skipping Disney this year because we're going to Green Bay. Kris is a big Packers fan so I agreed that we'd go this year to a game if we could go to Disney for my birthday in 2012. But there is an Agent Education Program Disney is hosting this September that I may apply for. If I'm accepted, I get a free trip! :woohoo: I hope you get to go in October!

oops, oh yeah!
are you applying for this year's fam? when is it?

September 12-16. I want to apply but they aren't taking applications yet, too early. And I have to get it cleared with my boss.

Hi guys!

Well, last time I updated, I was talking about a possible road trip to FL. I was planning on going to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando the last week of March. Me and Kris's one year anniversary is March 30 and we took the week off.

Those plans fell through. We're trying to save money to get a place together and we would've spent too much while we were there. So I think we're going to spend a couple nights in the Poconos instead. We have figured it all out yet.

BUT, good news today is that I applied for a Disneyland fam in April! Fingers crossed I get accepted. I applied for it last year and it got cancelled because they didn't have enough people. I've never been to CA and this would probably be the only chance I have to go to Disneyland. I really want to see it just cause that's the original. Walt was actually there! I'm trying not to get my hopes up in-case it does get cancelled again but I can't help but be excited. :)

I'll keep you guys posted!

Hey Jennifer!
Sorry to hear about the lack of funds for your trip! But I'm sure you guys will get to go again soon (and hopefully just the two of you ;) )!
Good luck with the California/Disneyland trip! Here's hoping you get it!! pixiedust:

That would be amazing! In 2007, I went with my mom to CA (she had a business trip) and stopped at just California Adventure. It was amazing, but I do wish we went to Walt's original park!

Jenny, sorry to hear your plans fell through but getting a place together beats a Disney trip!!

And, I'm crossing everything I can for the CA trip! pixiedust: Keep us updated!!! :dancer:
