Even my husband, who is doing DVC for the love of me and the kids, would buy more points if there was a DVC on the monorail.... :rotfl:

I know why I am buying more, I am always in the red with my points. :p

I really need double what I have now, but I am waiting until I can buy it in cash so I don't have to finance.

I relate. I got two add-ons shortly after my initial purchase. I think the first add-on took me to the right amount of points for my needs. I really didn't need the second add-on.

Then again, I didn't just buy this for today. In the future, I'll have some more free time, and I'll be able to make better use of the points from the second add-on. Meanwhile, I have no problem finding nice people who are interested in renting the points from me.

We definately have that disease. We have added on twice and are about to do it again. SSR this time. And when the new resort is announced we will probably think (obsess) about another add on. I think a goal of 1000 points is a great one!! :thumbsup2

It is a illness, I have it and it is called "addonitis". We originally bought 210 points in 1994 and have added on a few times and now we have 600 points. I was always thinking how we could buy more points until we reached the 600. This amount really works for us, we haven't added on for years and my illness went away!!!!! I think some of us just have to have the comfort of having a certain amount of points to make them comfortable. I was always afraid that the points weren't going to be available in the future.

I think about it all the time. We have invited friends and cruised with some points also ( 3x). Are using some again next year for the med. cruise. I have also had points transferred into my account twice.

We bought 6 years ago and have added on three times. The dues do hold me back with two in college and one in private school. We have 460 and I keep repeating that someday I would like to round that number off - to what? I have no idea :teeth:

If we do not become snowbirds (would love to have a condo in FL. someday), will definitely add-on again in the near future

I guess we're slightly above average, we have 650 points. That's two resale contracts at OKW, and two add-ons at BCV. We went a lot, and used every point, for about three years. Then we discovered cruising, and do a combination of our own stays and renting to pay for cruises. I'm branching out slightly next month, and using some points to stay at the Grand Californian for a couple of nights. For summer 2007, we are thinking about trying for a trade to an island somewhere, Hawaii or the Caribbean.

We will be using all our own points soon, the kid has three more years of high school. Then I hope we can do more off season travel. I've decided I don't really enjoy WDW in the middle of summer heat.

Bought 350 BWV last January resale, added 100 through Disney in October... Guide told us the majority of owners add-on in the first two years.

Not a day passes by where I have internet access that I don't cruise the "big 3" resale outfits. DVD can't sell to us direct due to state RE laws, but we're getting ready to move. I have no idea what will stop me once we get to our new home and I can just pick up the blower and say "give me more!"

We started out with 270 points at BCV and then I received a bonus at work. DH and I decided the best thing to do with that money was add on another 30 points so we did! Then we went on the SSMC05 where the deal was too good to pass up for an add on! 150 points at SSR, a 4 night/5 day trip to any DVC resort and a limited edition crystal sculpture! How could we say no? Besides, I had already told DH that I wanted to surprise DS with points for Christmas so why not?? Well, I'm currently borrowing points from my 2007 UY and feel we could use more points but DH says we have enough. Of course, once we get on SSMC06 he may change his mind. Maybe I should wait until after he's had a few bon voyage drinks :drinking1 before I approach with this subject again!

I am engaged to a man with 900 points! Need I say more? LOL We want more points too. It's a sickness...his daughter wanted to know if I was a golddigger...hee hee.

Hey, does anyone know any DVC sales people personally? I am wondering what how lucrative timeshare selling is??

Shouldn't post that ... now you'll end up with a line of folks trying to steal him away from you ... ;)

Too funny! Yes, I know, huh? The first year we met, he wined and dined me, and we actually had to borrow a few points to take my 7 year old son on a week-long cruise on the Magic this past May! Thank goodness one of his use years re-ups this August! Phew. We live near WDW so there is no reason to use the points to stay on Dis property ( ), but it's obvious we are getting creative with them as we go along! Thank God the ex-wife didn't want them...

As an aside, we met a great, very young couple on our cruise who were on their honeymoon. Guess what his parents gave them for a wedding present? Yeppers, DVC points! Isn't that fab?

I want more points too!!! I think you and I should start a DISBOARDS Therapy forum - you in?????? Love you!! Get out the Limoncello!!! I'm comin' over!! :drinking: :disrocks: party:  :wave2:
