Not at all jealousThat's so great you getting into Boston. I'm not jealous or anything...
Honestly what a great opportunity. I'm sure you have done a ton for your running club so you've earned it!
It's a dream to run this. Please volunteer! I'll look for you!So great! Now you get to see the race from the other side. I may sign up to volunteer again.
Thank you!I'm late catching up, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so freaking awesome!
Thank you! Swifties & running forever <3Love the sweatshirt!
Thank you! Here's to hills in 2024.Happy Holidays to you too! Hope Boston training is enjoyable in 2024
Thank you! Here's to hills in 2024.
I've only run the hills of Newton once and when I reached the turn at the fire station I took a look up and came to a complete stop. Walked up that hill. Hoping that I can find a good balance in getting the hills in and not aggravating anything.Hills suck. I have yet to do a training plan where hills haven't caused me issues. OTOH, I have probably 30 years on you, so YMMV!
I did the (one and done) 2014 Runners World Heartbreak Half in an attempt to make peace with the Hills after my first Boston in 2011....it was only partially successful (might have been better if I didn't have what I expect was a food -related GI issue).
In 2019, I had a stress fracture in my hip--so I was walking up those hills anyway!
Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Thank you! It went great - will recap in my weekly round up in just a few minutes.Good luck for the New Year's 5k!
