I was once told that you could pick one up in the Magic kingdon itself, but I was told that they didn't give them out when i asked on my last visit. Is this the case?
If you're looking for Hidden Mickeys at particular rides/attractions/resorts just post them. Lots of people know where some are and you might be able to compile a list based on that. I know I'd definitely tell you about any Hidden Mickeys I know of if you jog my memory by listing some of the spots you want to look for them at.
Yup, and I think it might be my favorite one. There's a kids' tv room off the lobby where kids can go play while their parents are checking in. The room has murals painted on the walls. One of the paintings is of a fishbowl with fish in it. Three of the bubbles coming from the fish form a hidden mickey!!
That's the only true hidden mickey I was able to find at Pop. I asked lots of CMs and most didn't know of any or pointed me to intentional, not hidden, mickeys.
Hidden Mickey's are shapes of Mickey's ears. Last year on our trip the kids had a great time looking for them. We spotted some at the entrance of MGM on the gates and ticket window and if you look closely at the castle there are hidden Mickey's there.
The book that the above post mention is good. I bought that on our last trip and that is what we used as our guide. We found it at WDW resort shops but it can be purchased in bookstores or amazon. Also there is a 2nd edition coming out with the updated Hidden Mickey's.
Our first experience with them was from a few listed in a Birnbaums guide a few years ago.
The Hidden Mickey's site is great. You can find a forum devoted to them at the DisneyWorldTrivia website here: Hidden Mickeys and I believe there is a Hidden Mickeys thread in the In Park Games forums.
Oh there is definatly more than a list of 30. There is a whole book. I got mine at Disney but you can get it at Barnes and Noble and Amazon I am sure. It cost me about 12.95. There are tons of hidden mickeys at resorts, parks - just about everywhere.
Hidden Mickeys are depictions of Mickeys, whether it be three circles, his facial profile, a full silhouette, etc that Imagineers hide on the rides and in the resorts sort of as a signature to their work. Some Imagineers even hide donalds and minnies. Their fun to look for around the parks and resorts!!
Have never asked for it myself, but I have read on these boards that you can pick up a Hidden Mickey list in the Magic Kingdom in City Hall... and at some Disney resorts as well. I know both WL and AKL have them, ask at Guest services.
I've never heard about the list, but I do know they sell the Hidden Mickeys book at WDW that a couple others have mentioned on here. We bought it at MK last year on our trip to have some fun.
