I visited the community boards for the first time and...

I strayed to the Resorts board last year....haven't had the courage to return. :lmao:

Well that's because you told them about those crock pot parties you throw on the Poly beach -- :sad2:

Seriously, if I ever want a little fun, all I need to do is plant a little comment about how horrible my last stay was at the GF or how much I love to pool hop! :stir:

Resistance is FUTILE!!! (is there an evil laugh smilie?!?! pirate: )

Like so many others have said, we are no better or worse than any other board here. I've found some nasty stuff on the resort board or the family board. Sometimes I get involved, sometimes I just read, shake my head & move on, sometimes I go past the nasty threads. Depends on my mood, LOL!

tons of heated crap on the "families" board too.
there are some weird, freaky people in the world. AND in the World too.

Ugh, when I see a 10 year old boy in the bathroom next to my five year old girl- i am gonna 1) puke 2)scream 3) embarrass the hell out of the kid and his overprotective parents

I wouldn't bring my 10yo son into the women's room, but I really don't see what a boy would be seeing. There are stalls, afterall. A girl would be seeing things in the men's restroom, so that I understand.

As to the original post--yeah, there's some heated stuff here. That's because some of the fun fruit threads are not allowed! :rotfl2:

I used to only post on the resort/theme park boards. But I soon realized it was the same threads OVER AND OVER again. Refillable mugs, pool hopping, 3 yr olds sneaking in free, 5 in a room, rude guest and CM's. etc. Plus, I feel I know WDW pretty well (I do check in those boards briefly before and after trips).

SO, the CB lured me in. I try and not read the threads I KNOW will be ugly. You can usually tell. CB is a good source of info for everyday life and travels to other places too.

My cousin once said she was going to post a question on the Arts and Crafts board...we haven't heard from her since.

oh no, another "death by scrapping!" :sad2: I just hate when that happens!

I love the community board it's great entertainment. I try to stay away from the debates but I wouldn't really call them scary just people stating opinions! As far as the tag fairy only living there not true I got my tag from a post I made on one of the arts and crafts boards!

I haven't read all the responses, so if any are repeats, sorry.

The Candlelight Processional Dinner package is a great way to go. We showed up 10 min. before show time (not recommended, just happened), and were one of the last package families let in. You can go in and get your seat before they let all the rest in, and they have to wait in line a while. We did this on Christmas Eve. We also spent the day going around the countries to hear the storytellers. We didn't get them all, and because it was raining off and on, La Befana wouldn't come out, and Monkey King just stayed in the store, but still explained his story to my kids. We did get to see Santa Claus and Papa Noel. Los Tres Reyes Magicos was great. They actually did La Posada with the kids, which is a re-enactment of Mary and Joseph going house to house looking for a room. My son was picked to act Joseph's part. It was nice.

Also, a great way we saw the Osborne lights was to go to Fantasmic and then walk straight over and walk through it. It's not very crowded and they don't rush you at all. Best of all, since the park is closed, you miss the whole rush to get out of there.

We had the hardest time on the Christmas trip with packing. I brought zip-offs for the kids, tshirts and sweatshirts. The kids would start the day in their zipoff pants, tshirt and sweatshirt, then as the day warmed up (if it did), they zipped off the pants part for shorts and took off the sweatshirt. That worked out well. We also kept hats and gloves in the backpack and used them sometimes after dark. A couple of days, we actually had to take jackets too, but mainly because of the rain and wind.

HTH!

I love how this was posted on the theme parks board and got moved to the community board anyway. :teeth:

I was just waiting for this to happen! :lmao: I saw it on the other board and knew it'd end up over here eventually.

Kind of like gossiping about someone and then realizing they're RIGHT behind you. :rotfl2:

Apparently one of the moderators or webmasters was feeling a bit mischievous :teeth:.

To the thread starter - Thanks for making our day :flower3:. Have no fear. For the most part over here we are really a Disney-loving fun bunch, arguments and all ::yes::. And I think more than making anyone over here mad, you probably gave most us have a good chuckle ::yes::. The only ones who will pick on you are the ones who can't let anything roll off their back :duck:. Most of us can.
