I tried to like Harmonius, I really did

Put me in the group that only wanted to hear and see one thing, "Chevron Seven, Locked!"

Nothing was more jaw dropping than the holiday tag to Illuminations. Literally too my breath away.

Harmonius is...fine. upbeat. Fun. Not a must stop to watch.

Enchantment is a hot dumpster fire.

Arrived at the Swan last night at 8pm and wanted to take advantage of the extended hours, so we walked over to EPCOT.

Sat down in UK for some fish ‘n chips and had very nice seating just in time for Harmonius. We’d seen it streaming before, as well as once a few months ago in person. I wasn’t a fan before but thought I’d give it another chance.

You know, for me, it's not so much comparing it to Illuminations. I can judge the new show on its own.

But your #4 I completely agree with. I cannot for the life of me understand (good show or bad) why the powers-that-be would leave the lagoon in a state of ugliness all. day. long. I just don't understand. To me, it ruins the entire beauty of that lagoon/lake; I truly cannot wrap my head around it.

Nope. Compared to Illuminations it’s such a disappointment.

1. The IP does not fit EPCOT. It’s grossly out of place.

2. The music is loud (garish even) and is inconsistent with the charming elegance of World Showcase.

3. There is no discernible message. It’s a bunch of clips of animated songs that in the aggregate say “We’re a bunch of clips of animated songs.”

5. To the producers’ credit, it’s technically excellent. The fireworks are outstanding (and drew applause), and the barges do cool stuff. It’s just a shame it’s _this_ stuff.

Oh I so long for the elegance and eye-watering message of Illuminations.

I have to admit I also really wanted to like it - and when I saw it, I had nothing else to do that night (wasn't trying to rush to another park or get food or anything) and I didn't mind standing there for a few minutes. I love(d) most of the songs. Technically great. And I found myself leaving Epcot early/about halfway through the show. The lack of a narrative really left me wanting (but also not great lighting/finding the right place - but then again, I'd be SO frustrated if I waited for a good spot like I did IllumiNations).

We are going to WDW in August and I'm not excited about the new evening shows. I am a huge fireworks fan and LOVED Wishes. I was pretty mediocre about HEA, definitely didn't feel it was worth dealing with the crowd of humanity and would choose to watch it from outside the actual park. Always liked Illuminations, even as they hacked away at it over the years. I was interested in knowing about Harmonious; I came here to ask if the barges were in the lagoon all the time. Sadly, I have learned they are. Hopefully this won't take away from my enjoyment of Harmonious. I'll try not to hold a terrible decision by the PowersThatBe against the Stargate and tacos.
