I, too, had a long conversation with a supervisor....

I wanted to find out for myself what's going on because people are acting as if the world is coming to an end over here.

She said no one is getting their vacation taken away and no one is having to pay more than what they were originally quoted for and paid for. I asked since I put a deposit down, if that means anything, and she said 'don't worry your price is set.'

Clearly, every CM and supervisor is giving out different stories but guess what? In the end, Disney has been taking in a crapload of reservations the past few days and are laughing all the way to the bank reading some of these posts.

This is exactly what I've already said----2 years ago this happened and nobody had their vacation taken away or refigured. It's Disney's way to fill up those rooms, and they're doin' it! If you have a confirmation number with a price, that's what you're paying. Been there, done that. Next will probably come all the worry about "oh no, am I going to have to show proof once I check in?" No, you won't---you have a confirmation number with a price, it's a done deal. Take your confirmation notice with you and you're all set.

I feel comfortable that I am safe too but I have a question.......my package, with the code of 40% off the room, included MYW park hoppers and dining. I called twice and confirmed this with the CRO. However, when I access the reservation on the website, it does not show my dining. Anyone else have this issue or information on this?

I better hurry and book then before they figure all this out. :rotfl:

Just kidding - I don't have a pin or a code or anything. I said "to heck with it" and booked the Swan for $125.00 a night. I'm as happy as a lark.

These threads have been so entertaining. I must admit I've stopped working at least 3 times today to check on the debate. I must be easily amused. :confused3

I felt certain that Disney wouldn't take away a rate from anyone who had confirmed ressies. Can you imagine the mad people? That would truly be entertaining. I'll bet they would have to put that on the 6:00 news. :happytv:

I hope you all get to keep your deals but it is totally incorrect that they will honor it because you have a confirmation. I have written confirmation that were paid in full. I also have 5 pounds of Disboard posts that Disney sent to the Florida Atty General after they added thousands of dollars onto our reservatons because they made a glitch and insisted we knew it was a glitch..(these boards)

I think every one's shows like yours. I asked both at my initial reservation plus when I changed resorts if it included dining and was told yes. I am still waiting for my written confirm in the mail.

I just posted this question in another thread. I hope that means we're ok with our dining.

For whatever reasons.. the online ressie confirmation does not show dining even if you have it.. This is normal.

WOOOO WHHOOO!!! For all you guys! I've seen some awesome deals on these threads! Unfortunatly, my dates are blacked out, so please send some pixie dust my way, maybe another code will come thru! Hope you all have wonderful trips and Thank Goodness for the Dis-Boards!! (I'm soooo jealous!!!!)

Someone on another thread just posted that hers does say dining. Mine doesn't, when I noticed last week I called and they assured me I have dining. But it doesn't make sense that some would say it and others wouldn't. What is wrong with Disney's computer system.

Mine does not say dining on the online system, but on the confirmation I received in the mail, it lists out the dining, 1 snack, 1 QS and 1 TS per person in room, it also lists a free photo movie, the $15 coupon for Planet Hollywood and the sea racer offer. Who knows why, but I think if the mailed confirmation says it, then that is what it is.

I just called a Supervisor to say "Hello" and ask how their day was going :rotfl: :rotfl:

Kidding, kidding ;) I'm bypassing all of this and staying at the Shades of Green where the prices are decent all the time :rotfl: Disney didn't want to offer me a pin code, code, abracadabracode, general code, private code, code for the restrooms..so I'm just staying across the street :thumbsup2 Obviously, I know that's not an option for anyone not affiliated w/ the military, so I hope all of you who haven't had any luck with the "general" code will eventually get lucky!

I better hurry and book then before they figure all this out. :rotfl:

I booked the Dolphin after seeing your original post and I'm pysched to have it for $125. The dates for the 40% didn't work for me anyways. ;)

I think it would be ridiculous if Disney tried to take away the discount from the people who got it without a pin. Why should Disney care who stays in the rooms, just as long as someone does. ;)

If I owned a business, I would be pretty upset if everybody got my product for 40% off when they weren't supposed to, even if that meant a buttload of people were purchasing the product.

I had the swan booked for 8 days, the only thing is it doesnt seem that resort treats people who drive to Disney fairly. I found out there are hidden charges for Parking, resort fees and refigerator. Which makes the 125 go up to about 170 a night. Which for 50 more a night with this discount I could stay at the Poly, which im probably gonna end up doing.

That's why they only set aside a set number of rooms that can be booked at 40% off. They plan on those rooms booking regardless of who books them. Believe me, they have crunched the numbers to know how many rooms they can sell at 40% and still make a profit due to the number of rooms they are selling at RAC - they won't sell any more than that at a reduced rate.
