Well,.... first of all, thank you for all the heads up on the discounts for the savings for May, we were gonna do Animal kingdom for May 20 to 11 days after that but even with the 30% off, MGYW with reg dining plan, the fact that all the standards were gone, for a animal view it was close to 8000 ... Unless I had club privileges with that price tag it wasn't gonna be money well spent for us. So, I made her check Coroando Springs and that was 6039, still couldn't see paying that for a mod but booked it since I did this kinda late in the game and the rooms are filling up Quick ( all standards were gone, had to pay a water view rate )..

I thought about this and said I should of asked if I had a pin code attached to my name, so I called back and yes I did, but she couldn't tell us what the % was, it was like a blind code only the system knew and took off set amount... I thought that was strange that they wouldn't allow her to view the amount of savings for the room. Still can't tell you the % off we got but we are now going in Aug 12 till the 23rd with the same add ons for the price of 6339.00... I can live with that, it's a better feeling paying a couple hundred more and have the deluxe amenities...

Haven't been to the world in 3 years and back then they were more than happy and able to say the amount your pin saving was, % wise... Other than that I am so very excited :cool1: and the women who helped us was lovely.. Wonder if any one else had this happen, if this is the new normal :confused3

Neglected to say we are staying now at animal kingdom, standard room:rolleyes1 sorry about that..

Glad you are heading back !!!

I am guessing your Coronado booking was not a startard room by any means at that price !?

Also pretty great that you had a pin code attached to your name.

You could always price things out yourself online, and then do the math to figure out what % you saved ...

How can you find out if a pin is attached to your name?

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

This has happened to me a few times over the years where the cm could not give me the % off and also couldn't give me the code name or numbers/letters. Usually I just figure it out on my own. A few yrs. ago I had a really rare pin that I figured out was 40% off any resort and no black out dates so we were even able to use it at Christmas. It's hard to say if you have the same pin as everyone has been getting or something else.

Thank you, yes we were very happy... I looked up pricing on Mousesavers first for room only rates for 2013, and they are not correct, the cast member said not to go by them Disney change them to often. Also Mousesaver said the room was a flat 333 a night for the entire stay with no weekend elevation price up. We went and also plugged in all the dates and "such and such" on the disney website and we got a much higher # than she gave.. I'm still a bit perplexed but I'm going with it ;) .
No, every pin has the info attached. You had CM error.
Two different cast member told us, my husband just never asked the first one what it was % wise, :lmao: wanted to throttle him when he told me after he booked it...

I would be nice to know, and I was confused as why it was such a hush, hush thing but... we're a go'in :cool1:

Both my mother and my daughter had pin codes attached to their names. Neither received the pin by email or snail mail. They only found out about it when they called to make reservations and they asked. The castmembers were not able to give them the details of the pins but could run the numbers for them to see what the savings would be.

Well isn't that quite magical :lmao:..... Only in the land of make believe, which lets face it, we all love Disney vacations for this very reason, would I ever entertain not pushing the issue with a cast member as to what the exact saving was...Hey, I like my deluxe hotels and my name brands and my fancy sha-man-cey hand bags like the rest of us gals, but for me, it has to be a decent % off and always with a coupon in hand at purchase. I think the music they play while I'm on hold turns me into a mindless nit.....:dance3:

My daughter's pin was for free dining but didn't include her travel dates and then she had another for % off but it only covered one of the nights but not the others.

My mother's pin was % off and it only covered one of the nights but not the others.

Like your Mom I was told I had a pin when I asked, just will never know the % off. I wish there was an accurate official disney price list from them and I would figure the savings out myself... For just plan fun at this point, and for curiosity sake.

Okie dokie, call it narrotic, ocd, what ever... I plugged in all the numbers on Disney vacation site and with out the % off it was 7568 smacker for the total cost.. Well the women gave us the price of 6336 with the secret pin code. The savings for us was 1223.00 over all and that folks is 35% off pin, Voila:wizard:
