I thought the 7/4 deal was GREAT and here's why....

POFQ standard Feb. 5-12 = $2,290.73. Minus $200 GC = 2090.73. Minus the cost of the tickets $1887.00 for 3 adult 1 child 10 day + water parks NO expiration (which I planned to buy through Mousesavers special Ticketmania link) = $203.00 TOTAL cost for the room for 7 nights! No room code could possibly beat that!

POLY Garden View April 11-18 (not blacked out after all...) plus 7 day hoppers. Was $4726, now $3296. Including tax, I am now paying $470.82/night total. That is less than the $511.31 that I would be paying per night with my AAA discount. And I get the tickets.

Best thing? $1828 off rack rate and $1430 less than my AAA discounted price. I thought the AAA discount was a miracle for Easter week. Now the additional savings pays for our whole trip down- hotels, gas, food-- and kenneling the dogs for 10 days!

So yes, for us, it is nothing short of amazing. Even if it isn't quite as cheap as lilstint's.

So, if my calculations are correct, that is very close to the coveted 40% off code for the room ( which would have brought rack down to $3076.) plus free tickets to boot! Easter Week makes it all the more amazing. Glad you made the code work for you too.

The new deal is an excellent deal for those who want/can go for 7 days. I too crunched the numbers and the best deal, of course, is value season before March and for the folks who can take advantage of the $200 GC. Of course, anyone who plans to go in June this is also excellent because most of us know that discounts in June/July are very RARE. Often only the EPCOT delux resorts will have discounts. So anyone who plans to go in June should jump on this deal. If you check your price online, you can even drop the ticket down to a 1 day ticket to use later (if you'rea an AP holder). The difference between a 7 day and 4 day tickets is not much of a savings. We are AP holders and DVC members, so this deal does nothing for us, but we still crunch the numbers to compare whether we want to save points and pay cash. Since we are going during MLK week, there is little available for us, so we will have to pass.
