Why in the name of all that is sacred did I not know they changed the Fiesta Margarita at EPCOT???!!!!!!:faint:

Imagine my shock when I arrived, craving my favorite little cocktail, only to see the concoction has changed from "Lime, Strawberry, Mango, and Kiwi" to "Lime, Strawberry, Mango, and GREEN APPLE"??????? :scared1: What were the powers that be in Mexico food & beverage thinking--this is scandalous and downright GROSS! I was fair, I tried the new "green apple" portion of the fiesta, but it is not the same and I found it thoroughly unappetizing.

All my fiestas, from this point until they rid themselves of the dreaded "green apple" flavor, will be missing the color green. I am not a huge kiwi fan either, but it fit with the other flavors--green apple does not and it doesn't really taste like "apple" either--it does, however, smell like "Apple Pucker" and I have only sniffed that--never imbibed.

I spoke with several of the CMs on duty in the Margarita Kiosk and they said very few people like the new flavor and they have had to listen to a good deal of complaining. I personally witnessed four unhapppy customers who made the mistake of ordering a "green apple" only margarita. They did not seem to be pleased with the taste. :duck:

I simply had to vent--I cannot believe I arrived totally unprepared for this shock--it was nearly as bad as the one I had when they had moved the stand across the promenade and I thought it was gone completely, but that's another story. . . :lmao:

:rotfl2:

I had read that here a while ago and was hoping it was not true. I have to agree with you, WHAT were they thinking???

Thanks for confirming the change.

Heres hoping they change it back before my next visit to Epcot on 7/18, however I am guessing my chances aren't too good. :drinking1

Blech!!! I don't like apple pucker to begin with, but to try to mix it in with the other flavors ... :confused3

Yeah and the green apple is nasty. I had one 2 weeks ago blech...kiwi was so much better. Next time I ask to eliminate the apple.

That is horrible. I'm glad to get the warning. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

That is such a bummer to hear:worried: I look forward to Fiesta Margs each time I leave the WS and make my trek through FW......Apple Pucker makes me:sick:

Why did they have to mess with a good thing!? Green apple isn't going to blend well with the other flavors. :confused3

thats to bad

I'm sure there are green apple fans out there who are very happy with the change. But I don't think any of them are going to gush to the Cast Members at the stand that it's fantastic. We only complain.

My husband likes the plain kiwi but he'll try and green apple and who knows - maybe he'll like it even better.

While totally whining about the green apple, I did gush and proclaim how much I  the previous formula. :rotfl: As a matter of fact, I began my complaint with that compliment and proceeded to let them know the new flavor did not "blend" well with the other more tropical tastes. . .I do not believe people are only complainers--at least that is not the case in our family. Thanks for playing devil's advocate to my concern though.

I hope your husband does like the new flavor--surely someone has to--all I can say is, from my firsthand experience last week, people were not fans and either ordered the fiesta without the green apple OR did order it with the green apple and immediately made a terrible face and complained.

I usually do not buck "change"--I enjoy changes in menus, decor, etc.--just don't mess with my one guilty pleasure that I can get nowhere else (or at least near me) but Disney. . . :(

BTW, these posts are somewhat tongue in cheek for those of you who think I would actually be having a meltdown over a drink. Trust me, I will find a new favorite. . .I hear those Grey Goose things in France are pretty delicious.

I am not a pucker fan either, so last month in Mexico I made MY OWN Fiesta and had them layer all the others WITHOUT the green apple :thumbsup2

We ordered it in May without the green...definitely agree on this one. Bring back the Kiwi!!!
