I thought entry to mardi Gras was free?

Hi,

I thought that if you were in the park you could see the Mardi Gras activities for free.I was checking out the ticket prices on the Universal site and saw a Mardi Gras ticket for entry after 5pm for sale

Does that mean you DO need a seperately ticketed entry?

My *guess* was that the option for Mardi Gras after 5 pm would be for those without a Universal ticket and wanted to go, so they could buy that ticket and go to Universal after 5pm..not too sure, but that's my guess

My guess is the same as Foladar's. It appears that the Mardi Gras festivities are included with your Universal admission. But if you only want to go for Mardi Gras, then you can purchase the special "After Five" ticket for $39.95.

You are correct. It is only for those who didn't purchase a day admission but would still like to go to Mardi gras.
