I think we ate at every character meal.. TRIP REPORT w/pics! FINISHED!!!!!!!

Really enjoying this. Your daughter is gorgeous and that mad hatter video was GREAT!!! :lmao:

Yay more posts. I think you have reviewed all the character meals we are doing except CRT-did you go there?? We are doing bkfst.QUOTE]

I know you're not asking me but as 'that's nice' didn't do it, I thought I'd answer. I did CRT for breakfast in 2006. It's expensive but we all really liked it. Nice character interaction, the servers were LOVELY and the food was nice. Don't be afraid to ask though if you don't like something food wise. It was our first character meal and we were a little intimidated. Mind you, one of our party has a wheat intolerance and the chef himself came out to see what he could cook for him - so nice! Oh, and eating in the castle - just magic!

I'm trying to finish the second part tonight. That will only leave 3 days left... one of those was an early departure. :(

yay for the first mm bar!

As you can see from the picture, we had her wrapped up. She didn't spill any of it!:goodvibes

Woo hoo, you're back with another installment :cool1:

All those princess photos are so precious! Juliana is such a happy shining little girl isnt' she?! :cloud9:

Did you enjoy the food at the breakfast? Is it served like at Ohana?

I've never done breakfast at 'Ohana... yet. The only thing that is served is on one platter the scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. In another bowl the potatoes. Every thing else is like a buffet. You have to go up and get it. It was good and worth it for the princesses. If there were no princesses, its an expensive $30 breakfast!:badpc:

Thanks for reading... and answering that question!:worship:

I enjoyed the part about Akerhaus! My 3 yr old is OBSESSED with princesses so we plan to go there as well - also bkfst since the lunch/dinner food isn't at all appealing to us. I've read only good things about the bkfst there and it looks like Juliana enjoyed herself!!!

Here's a question - for anyone really - about the princesses. My Abby is VERY observant. And, truthfully, some of the princesses don't look too much like the ones in the movies. (Mulan, Snow White....) Do young kids NOTICE that they don't look the same as in the movie? Or, if they see Snow White looking one way at Akerhaus and then see her looking a bit different over at MK, do they notice??? I hope not!

We met 2 different Aurora's and 2 different Cinderella's on this trip. DD didn't mention anything about them looking different. I think kids are in awe that they are standing in front of them and talking face to face with them. But my DD was just turning 3 so I don't know what will happen when they get older. As far as them looking like the movies, you I think most of them look pretty close. Plus the movies are cartoons and these are the 'real life' princesses.:thumbsup2

So we're heading over to the world showcase. We have a dinner ressie at Le Cellier @ 6:05. We start over at Mexico and go inside the temple. I didn't realize how big it was inside there. We went on the El Rio de Tiempo. It was a cute ride starring the three caballeros. We never did it before. It was relaxing. Juliana started her Kidcot mask.

DSC04562.jpg

Poor Donald..... always getting picked on.

DSC04564.jpg

I don't know what it is about that temple but when we came out we were mighty thirsty!;) So in trying to find something to quench our thirst, what do we find? The Margarita Stand!!!:cool1: Melody gets the fiesta margarita with a little sugar on the rim. She's loving it. They don't sell beer there so I find myself a nice cold XX at Cantina de San Angel. OK now we're ready to see the WORLD! Before we can get out of Mexico, we spot Mexican Donald hanging out. We had to get a picture with him and have him sign Juliana's book!

DSC04577.jpg

We kept making our way around. Juliana was having so much fun making her mask. We had to explore each country to find the Kidcot stop. Some were easy to find while others......not so easy! In China at the Kidcot stop the CM was so nice to Juliana. She wrote Happy Birthday to her in Chinese and stamped her mask with her Chinese zodiac sign- the dog!!!! Juliana's favorite stuffed animal that goes everywhere with her is a little dog that she named 'Puppy'. Melody and I got a kick out of her sign and both agreed that it fit Juliana to a 'T".

Our next stop was Germany. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear Germany is beer! So we had to stop and I got an Octoberfest.

DSC04582.jpg

Juliana was still having a ball with her mask and kept trying to look out of the eye holes:goodvibes

DSC04579.jpg

Off to Italy. On a side note...... walking clockwise around the showcase in the late afternoon is kinda tough. You are looking rite into the sun. We'll have to keep this in mind for the future.:cool2: Sorry about that... Oh yea Italy. We got to Italy and Juliana was excited to add another piece to her mask.

DSC04584.jpg

In Italy there is a little area near the fountain that is elevated. Its kinda like a little patio. Juliana was singing and dancing up on it for 10 minutes. People were watching her and I was video taping it. It was funny.

DSC04587.jpg

It was already 5 by this time so we had to pick up the pace. It started to get a little chilly so we stopped to get Juliana changed.

DSC04591.jpg

We were moving on. We stopped in the American Adventure, then onto Japan. There was a drumming exhibition that we watched for a few minutes.

DSC04590.jpg

Took a pic of the 'ball'

DSC04589.jpg

It was getting close to our ressie by this time, so we trucked it on over to Canada for our dinner. We checked in about 6 and waited to be seated... and waited... and waited. While waiting I was playing with my camera. How did I get a flower picture on here?

DSC04598.jpg

After 15 minutes I went to the desk and asked if we were getting close to being called and the girl asked me to hold on for minute. I said sure. And I waited for a her answer. Once again I waited and waited. I was just standing there looking at Melody. I shrugged my shoulders and went back to sit with her. We finally got seated about 6:40. I was kinda annoyed because I figured Juliana was hungry by this time, but I wanted to have a nice dinner, so I tried to forget it.
We had a nice waitress and she brought us the breadsticks. All three us us started killing them. We got Juliana a hotdog off the kids menu. It came with soup and ice cream. She wouldn't eat the soup so Mel and I split it. It was really good. I wish I ordered it for an appetizer. Juliana was happy eating the hotdog. Melody got the experience- field greens, prime rib(Melody thought it was quite fatty), and the Canadian chocolate moose. I got what I was waiting for all trip and what has been hyped on the DIS since I started coming on here- The FILET MIGNON. It was sooooooo tender and the mushroom risotto was so good. I eat filet often and this lived up to the hype.:thumbsup2 :woohoo: :yay:
It was desert time and I got the S'mores.

DSC04602.jpg

Melody's moose and Juliana's ice cream.

The girls trying to look like the moose.

DSC04604.jpg

After eating all this we were pretty stuffed. The dinner actually came out pretty fast and we were out of the restaurant about 7:30. We were tired so we decided to head back to the room.

DSC04610.jpg

We jumped on the bus and were heading back to CSR. We had an exciting Friday planned at MK again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were at Epcot the same day as you! Though, only in the afternoon, then we had to fly home. :( Like you said, just as it was starting to get warm.

We LOVE Sunshine Seasons. Definitely our favorite quick service place. I don't know why people don't talk about it more! It has yummy, healthy food. We ate lunch there earlier in the week, and then got a sandwhich to eat on the plane our last day. Well, I got a sandwhich, my dad got the strawberry shortcake (which we both had earlier in the week), haha.

I've been to Norway for dinner, but not breakfast. We'll have to think about that for our Dec trip since it sounds good.

Can't wait for the next update. :)

Did Juliana take that picture of you in Germany?

I started taking pictures around that age ;)

Just read your whole TR so far!!!

What a wonderful trip you guys are having!!

And a very beautiful little girl!! :princess:

I was impressed with Sunshine Seasons. There are so many choices. Plus the portions are very big. After I got my dessert, I saw someone sitting next to us with the strawberry shortcake. It looked so good. I will be getting that next time!!:)

No the photopass guy did. Although she did take her first few pictures on this trip! My camera is a little to bulky for her to hold. DW has a small camera that we didn't bring that she probably would do better with.

Just read your whole TR so far!!!

I read through it last night...... I think i should have proof read it a little more closely. I don't think I'll ever have a career as a writer!!!!!! I might have to go and edit many mistakes. Thanks for reading!!!!!!

Just found this TR and I am hooked. We are doing tons of character meals with the 4 kids so it is always nice to read about other people who have to tour the same way.

Thanks for reading. I'll give more reviews at the end too. Maybe like a summary. This is my first report so I'm still a noob!:goodvibes

the next time you go to Epcot-- so youdont have to do a lot of searching for those Kidcot stations--- here is a link

http://www.stitchkingdom.com/kidcot/

That would have really helped!!!!! It was kinda fun trying to find them though. The one in Japan was the hardest one for us to find. But at least it makes you interact with the CM's when your trying to find it!

great trip report so far, Im looking foward to an update.

I don't know about the updates today. Maybe later on. I have a lot of basketball, including UCONN, to watch today!!!:thumbsup2

Looking forward to more installments! It's been a fun read, so far!

Fantastic trip report.

It is making our trip feel much more real we go in 5 days but it seems to be gettiong further away.

I am very glad your beautiful DD enjoyed her trip and your photo's and video are amazing.

I wake up on Friday 3/6 with Stitch yelling at me .... again! We have a 8:10 resie at Kona for breakfast. We are also meeting Melody's cousin, his wife, and their son in MK. They live in the area and have resident passes. We take the bus to MK then walk over to the monorail to ride to the Poly. We walk up to the waiting area and the monorail pulls up. I asked the CM if the front was open to ride in. He checks and said it is!!!! Our 1st ride in the front. I didn't get any pics because once again I was video taping. It was cool being able to see where we were going. It was weird when we went into the Contemporary. The driver was a little odd, I kept asking him questions about the monorail and it seemed like he didn't want to answer them. He kept giving me 1 word answers. Good thing it was a short ride. We arrived at Poly got off and headed to Kona.

We checked in at the desk about 15 minutes late. There were quite a few open tables and we were seated rite away. This was our second time here. We tried it last time because I read so much about the Tonga toast here on the DIS and I wanted to try it out. Melody & I weren't disappointed last time, so we wanted to eat here again.

We started off ordering the 100% Kona pressed pot of coffee. I never drink coffee. I've never really liked it....... except for Kona coffee. I tried it while on our honeymoon in Hawaii. I loved it. I was drinking it all the time. Sometimes we order Kona coffee while we are home and I drink it. When I try to drink any other coffee, I can't stand it.:sad2:

I ordered the Lilikoi juice and the macadamia nut pancakes. Melody ordered the Tonga toast and Juliana had the Mickey pancake. Just to let you know, I love the juice. It is sooo refreshing. It is a little expensive though at $4 a glass. I don't care.... I'll order it every time. The pancakes were EXCELLENT!:woohoo: They were made with macadamia nuts baked into the pancakes with pineapples on top covered with macadamia nut butter. I barely used any syrup on them, although I did use some of Mel's strawberry compote. Her Tonga toast was AWESOME! I got it the last time. Its almost like having dessert for breakfast. There were tons of bananas inside. Juliana had 3 huge pancakes placed on the plate like a Mickey head. It was a lot for her to eat. She also got the fresh pineapple with it. This was one of our best meals. I will be going here every trip!:yay:

After breakfast we were leaving but I had to take a picture of some bamboo I saw when we were here on Tuesday night.:earsboy:

DSC04613.jpg

So we headed back to the monorail for a PACKED standing room only ride over to MK. We walked into the park just before 10 and saw Daisy. This was the first time we saw her all week. So we had to wait in line and take a picture.:goodvibes

DSC04615.jpg

We headed up Main St. and stopped to talk to the Mayor. He liked my Yankees shirt. LOL

DSC04616.jpg

I asked if he had time to take a picture with Melody. He didn't seem to mind. He also signed Juliana's book.

DSC04617.jpg

We finally met up with Melody's family. Her cousin got called into work so he was going to meet up with us later. It was nice to see them. One of the reasons I 'saved' my Yankees shirt for this day is because they are big Red Sox fans. It's always good to strike up the conversation.

DSC04618.jpg

We headed up over to Pooh's Playful Spot. The kids were playing and Melody and her cousins wife were talking. I guess that means I'm watching the kids? :confused3 They were having a blast. We stayed here about 25 minutes.

DSC04622.jpg

Since her family comes all the time, I knew today was going to be more of a relaxing day. The girls were chatting and I was the third wheel. We headed over to the carousel ride.

DSC04629.jpg

Today was turning out to be a beautiful day. The crowds were pretty low and the weather was going to be in the 80's. We rode Dumbo and Pooh. then it was time for lunch..... ALREADY?!?!?!? Since we were in Fantasy Land we looked for the closest place to eat. We found the hotdog stand and it had no lines, so the kids had hotdogs for lunch. While we were sitting the band came out and starting playing. Melody and I weren't really hungry yet.

After lunch we walked by the back of the castle over to Liberty Square. We still had quite a few snack credits left, so I stopped for a funnel cake. (once again thanks to the DIS!) It was really good. We kept moving over to Frontier Land. DOLE WHIP TIME!!! I wasn't even close to being done with my funnel cake and I'm ordering everyone Dole Whips! I got the pineapple float.:cheer2: YUM it was really good. This was my lunch. LOL

So we are enjoying our drinks rite across from Aloha Isle. Juliana and CS (cousins son) are having a blast. Juliana kept hearing the train whistle and she is teaching CS to mimic the train. It was really funny! The kids were getting a kick out of it too!
