I think rivers of America might be superior fireworks viewing...

I've always tried to see them from the castle- but this trip I watched them after Fantasmic and yes seeing bay max fly is cool, but I felt like Rivers of America provided a better experience. The castle's size with the placement of trees makes it hard to find a good spot without holding a spot for hours. I watched them from castle on day 2 of my trip but was in a spot in which crowds were constantly crossing in front. I struggled to enjoy it. Watched from River last night and it was a totally better experience to the point that the emotions of the show hit. I think seeing them right after Fantasmic also creates a special experience.

I did the Rancho first show viewing of Fantasmic, followed by fireworks from the River, and then headed to Main Street for 2nd paint the night and had a great spot of the curve.

My recommendation for anyone who can manage a later night is to see the 2nd PTN viewing. It's so much easier to get a spot 15-20 minutes before hand.

Thanks for the review, this is my plan in 2 weeks! We have RDZ reservations and plan to watch the Fireworks there; we have only seen the second showing of Fantasmic in the past. Then we'll catch the 2nd viewing of PTN. I'm excited!

I totally agree! I like it so much better than trying to watch from Main Street. It's my new favorite fireworks spot.

100% agree. There has only been one time that I've camped out on Main Street and NOT regretted it. Too many people, to many kids on shoulders, too many phones being held above heads.

They should ask everyone to stand for fireworks throughout the park.

I love fireworks from Fantasmic and Small World. IMO both are better than Main Street simply because of ease of viewing! Small World is probably the single best projection surface at DL.

Well maybe I haven't been missing that much by not being in front of castle...maybe I'll give Small World a try after all!

I agree, the view from Fantasmic or from Small World are both great. We normally do Small World. We've tried Main Street a few times didn't really enjoy it. You're either so far back you can't see much or you have to wait forever for a good spot, didn't seem worth it to us.

No. If you turn around, you'll see a few fireworks, but you can't see any structures past the Matterhorn.

We did this last night after Fantasmic and I have to agree that it’s a great place to watch the fireworks. The projections are right in front of you on the island and then you look right for fireworks. The only issue is the huge bottleneck trying to leave the area but that’s anywhere not north of the Castle.

My tip for this is head towards Galaxy's Edge and take the long way around..

PTN is moving up to about 10:30 in September. Will appreciate updates from people on timing if coming over from ROA or GE!
