We just spent a long weekend at Fort Wilderness in our Travel Trailer. The nightly rate for the premium loop was $106 a night. When we first started camping at FW together, as FL residents and AP holders, we sometimes would get rates as low as $27/night. Every year we watched rates go up and up.
DH doesn't share my love of all things Disney, and camping at the Fort was a way for us to mix his love of the outdoors, with my love of the mouse.
As a hospice nurse, our every other month or so getaways keep me sane.
He's looking to cancel our June trip.
He figures he's bringing the bed, bathroom, linens, etc, why should it cost $96/night for a parking space?
He also doesn't think we should spring for new Ap's when our current ones expire.
I have tried to talk him into a compromise of less short trips, but one really long one once a year. I don't think he's convinced.
Going without him isn't always feasible either. I've got 2 energetic boys, one of whom is autistic. It really is a two parent job.
