how do I know this? We are getting ready to go to the pool. He just took a shower and used a tremendous amount of Old Spice Body Wash and deo. He smells great but I can hardly breathe. :teeth:

When he starts reaching for the Axe Body Spray, you'll know for sure.

I find it funny and, at the same time, sweet when kids go through this stage. Enjoy it. Embrace it. And open a window so you don't suffocate. :thumbsup2

My sons had a theory that if a little smelled good than a lot would make them irresistible. Aren't they sweet?

My son has been using the Axe for a while (he is 14). Last week he was shopping with me and saw some similar deodorant/bodyspray made by Gillete (I think). One day when while I was out shopping, he decided to use this new spray. I think he took a bath in it. It is much stronger than Axe. Anyway, when I first walked in the house, the smell hit me. I asked him what that smell was. He said popcorn. Well, I hate the smell of popcorn. I kept quizzing him on what the smell was. He denied doing anything else. I kept asking him about the new deodorant and he admitted he had used it. I told him he had to go to the basement rec room. The combined smell of this bodyspray and popcorn had me nauseous. I threw the spray in the trash.

Oh goodness. My brother, soon to be 21, still bathes in Axe. I think he has the same theory as your sons. Whenever he does this, my whole house reeks! :crazy2:

My boys (and DH) know I love a good smelling man. So yesterday I sent my DS10 upstairs to clean his room. After about 10 minutes he comes down smelling very good. I guess he thought that would get him out of cleaning his room..... :rotfl2:

My 12yo came down after bathing in Axe a few days ago. I told him to go wash some of it off. :lmao: That stuff is terrible!

My son loved Axe for awhile. Now he is into "Jake" from the Hollister store.
Much better smelling! :)

Well if you guys find something real good smelling, let me know. My kid also bought some of that AXE stuff a while back. Darn near ran me out of the room. I had to make him stop wearing that smelly stuff!:) Of course when we moved, the day I found it laying out I made sure it got thrown out!;)

Time to hijack this thread:

Q: Do you know the definition of a hobo shower (according to my son)?
A: You spray yourself with Febreze and Axe Body Spray (in that order).

Kids these days are SO ingenious.

wow. so that's what my friends have been doing?

I got the axe part. but the steril smell was perplexing me. now I know. it was febreze.

If you think one kid batheing in it is bad, try a gym full of sweaty 14 year old guys. I've learned. never ever ever walk by the guys gym towards the end of class. :faint: :faint: (we need a choking smilie)

TC: At least he took a real shower.

It seems that the girl he has a crush on is named is Melissa. My DH called and I told him about this morning. He said that when my son was on the driving range Monday night she rode her bike back and forth about 20 times! She lives across the street from the range. DH thought it was really cute.

Oh to be 12 again. I know my DS will never get up the nerve to actually speak to her. :teeth:

I just went thru this w/my 11 yo DS too. It just cracks me up!

Now, ask him what a "boyfriend and girlfriend" do or what that means...in DS's school, it's that you say "I'm so-and-so's gf or bf", but you sure don't sit by them at lunch or talk to them in class or go places with them. For DS, it means he walks home w/her (and it took her saying "OK, do you know you are my boyfriend now" before he caught on). :rotfl2:

:rotfl: that is TOO cute!!! My ds11 never even wants to bathe so I guess I shouldn't have to worry yet :teeth:

DS said that she told him he was really cute and nice and that she wanted him to be her boyfriend. I'm sure his eyes were as big as saucers. I still don't think that he talks to her. :lmao:
