On its first day of availability, MONSTERS, INC. sold 5 million units on DVD and video in North America, netting at least $85M and topping the previous record of first day sales held by The Lion King, per www.Animated-Movies.com

Not bad at all Dan!! Well I contributed - I bought a DVD for myself and the VHS was a b-day present for Chrissi back in August. :)

I not only contributed, I rang up at least a million of those things last tuesday, not to mention our registers decided to go wacky on us that day!:)

Oh yes, we contributed!! And, it's been watched by the kiddies 3 times so far!!

I LOVE this movie!! ;)

I contributed also. We bought the movie yesterday and I have already seen it three times LOL

I'm one of those 5 million.....September 17th was a big shopping day...LOL...Monsters Inc. and Kelly Clarkson's single both came out that day.

I feel left out that I haven't bought it yet :( I keep forgetting to go buy it

I'm loving my copy! :D

Of course, this also means I'll be one of the millions flocking to the nearest store to get my copy of Beauty and the Beast on October 8!:teeth:

I think BnB might do better than it would have, just because it was on preorder when Monsters came out. If it weren't for Monsters and that $10 GC w/a $50 purchase offer, I wouldn't have gotten it. :o WHY? I already have it on VHS and don't even have a DVD player!

We contributed as a Christmas present for DSD.

I want extras....lots and lots of extras...one thing that baffles me though is that Monsters Inc. and Beauty and the Beast are selling for $19.99, the best price I've found for the collector's edition of Atlantis is $29.99.....what's wrong with that picture?!

One of the 5 million. Kinda glad I shopped at WalMart that day, because I only payed $14.76. Had to purchase a new phone battery and the phone still doesn't work.

Guess it back to the store to return the battery and probably purchase a new phone.

We watched it last night for the first time. We all thought it was great!

Count us in. Watched it on Sat. with pizza and pop corn.

I bought Monster's Inc. on DVD and I don't even own a DVD player. :teeth:

I bought it at Walmart on Sunday and it was still on sale for $14. :)

Count me in!DH bought it for my birthday on Sept 19th and I've already told him if he doesn't buy BATB in Oct when it comes out on DVD and put away for Xmas for me,I will kill him.;)

Bought mine the first day, watched it Sunday afternoon. Haven't seen the bonus material yet, but the movie was great.

We bought it too! Watched it Friday night. It was SUPPOSED to be a Christmas present...I just couldn't wait!!

Dan, I thought you might say, "Monsters Inc. did very well capturing the likeness of you in a cartoon." ;) You big ol' Sully! LOL
{{{hugs}}} from me and Hunter!:)

I didn't buy it the first day, but I did buy it today! :) I haven't seen it yet, so I hope to see it soon, and I hope I really like it, since now I own it, LOL! ;) I don't normally buy movies, but I had a $5 mail in rebate, so hey, what can I say... didn't want to pass up a good deal. ;)
