After having my little dog "Buckalew" --better know as Bucky--for 16 years (He is at least 17yo) I've decided that it is time to put him down. I will probably do this next Friday before I leave for WDW.
Bucky came to me as a stray. I prayed for a dog exactly like him and he just wandered to my sister's and I received him as a Christmas present 16 years ago. He is a Lhasa Apso. He has been the best little dog and best friend I could ever ask for. I can't really imagine life w/o him. I have had DH for a husband as long as I've had Bud for a dog...
He still eats and drinks but has no quality of life. He can't see too well and his hearing is pretty much gone. He walks crippled up most of the time. For evey good day he has, he has about 4 bad days...
He sleeps most of the day and night only getting up to go outside.
I'm sure I'll post about this again next week. I'm just trying to prepare myself for one of the most dreaded days I knew that I would face.
I'm so sad to post this. I love this little dog.
Thanks for listening.
