I think I'm missing something!

I have been to DW 7 or 8 times in my life and I don't know what a dole whip is! I have read about them on tags a lot. What is it? Where can I get it? I'm not sure what is it but I think I want one! Please, someone enlighten me!!!

I haven't tried one either, but I think it must be similar to a smoothie?? Wonder what flavors they come in?
I'll have to give one a try in November!

A Dole Whip is like soft-serve ice cream, but is dairy free. It is pineapple flavored. You can get it as a dish, a cone (I think) or as a float-in pineapple juice! It is delicious, and very refreshing!

I just had one earlier today, I found an ice cream shop not too far from me that sells it.

They sell dole whips in MK near the Swiss family tree house. They also have fresh pineapple , very good on a hot day.

MMM...I love pineapple, definitely on my "To-do" list. The dd's, 15 and 12, say they're going to try it too! Just say it's like ice cream and they're on board!

They are yummy. We love the pineapple float with the pineapple ice cream Dole whip. You can't go wrong with any of them. When we have visitors we always take them for a Dole Whip.

barbmouse, the dole whips are just ok, really.. i had them twice and didn't like them. i like pineapple, real pineapple but not the pineapple flavor that is in the ice cream sold as dole whip. its blended together but you don't see any pineapple in it.
i went to hawaii in the spring and had dole whips there also, pineapple farms and can't rave about those either. but, those were about 4 points better than the wdw ones.
go ahead and try a dole whip next time you are at disney. it will only set you back money, and you'll never know if you really like them until you try yourself.
i like pineapple but not the dole whips.

We like the vanilla/pineapple swirl, which is basically like a soft serve icecream, with both flavors. I dont think I would want the all pineapple one, but with the vanilla its just enough of both falvors. Yummy!

When my dad would take just me (not my 3 mean old needle sisters) to WDW, we would sit in front of the Tiki Birds - pre-Aladdin - and we would eat this concoction of citrus swirled with vanilla. It was heavenly. It's a treasured memory as my dad wouldn't want to do anything else. I don't think it was a dole whip, but it was yummy! I'll try it out next week...

Check out local ice cream places at home for Dole Whips too - they may be real close! They sell them at our local ice cream stand. To me they are okay, but usually not my first choice.

I absolutely LOVE pineapple, but the Dole Whips are a bit of a disappointment for me. I keep trying different combinations, but stil...only just ok.

Now the Citrus Swirls at the Sunshine Terrace are to die for...IMHO. My whole family loves these!!!

But, don't take anyone elses word for it...try them for yourself!!! They are good - we just like the Citrus Swirls much better!!!

I love the pineapple float. I think it's very refreshing.

I'd take a pineapple float over a citrus swirl from the Sunshine Terrace any time. I think the orange flavor is too concentrated.

I guess that's way there are so many choices in WDW. Something for everyone

It was good and it was something different, but it was not my favorite!! We are addicted to chocolate and peanut butter, neither of which is in a Dole Whip. It was a nice change of pace, though!
