I think I have the shingles again...

I found a couple of spots on my waistline yesterday , today I have like four more following the path of the nerve , they are itchy but no pain ( unlike the first time ). I'm hoping that it's not that , I'm taking benadryl , hopefully that will work .
DH is surprised that anyone can get the shingles more than once, it's possible though.
YIKES, I don't want that now!!!

We were just talking about them at a family party, and I'm told that they are very, very painful.

I hope that you don't have them either but I am walking proof that a person can have shingles more than once. I had them when I was around 25 and then again this past year at the ripe old age of 46. Neither time was a great experience.

I sure hope it's not shingles! I went through that in February and know first hand how miserable they are.

Isn't there a medication that is effective if taken within a short time of getting them? I know it's true that the older you are when you get them, the more bothersome they are. My DM suffers from "Post Herpatic Neuralgia". She had shingles almost 4 years ago and she still has residual pain. Take care of yourself.

I hope this isn't a serious outbreak...and yeah, you can get it more than once. My sweet auntie has them right now and this is her third time. It's in her eyes too this time..the poor dear.

I don't know for sure if it is the shingles, I had them once before and the only thing it makes me think it may not be shingles is that they don't hurt , but they itch like the dickens and look blistery. The first time they were very painful. Hopefully I can get to see the doctor tomorrow, of course these things always happen on weekends and holidays when no doctors are around.
