Each time, as we are coming home, DH and I say "yep, that was the last trip for a while" but then, about 6-9 months later, I start planning again.
We went 3 times between 2001-2006, then to Euro Disney 3 times between 2006-2009 (military living in Germany), once to WDW in 2007 and now again in Dec 2009. But I really do think this might be the last one; DS is 8 and DD is 5 and I think they are ready to move on.
We're going to try Hawaii this spring and we're thinking of a Beaches-type vacation next spring. For now, we'll see some more of America, since we live here again.
Have never wanted to do Disneyland, don't know why. But as we've been so many times, we find now that we are able to take it slower, skip stuff if there are long lines or the weather is bad, we go to SeaWorld, outlet shopping, Kennedy Space Center --- in short, we don't feel pressured to spend every minute of every day in the parks.
I agree with the PPs who said relax, spend the day at the pool, go shopping, maybe just people watch. Maybe you are feeling too pressured to do the "typical" things?
