No, but I am serious.

DH just left for work, and I kissed him goodbye. He shaved yesterday, but not today, so he has a bit of stubble. Each and every time I kiss him with stubble, I break out on my chin and lower lip... my skin turns red, feels warm, and itches like crazy. My lower lip is so itchy now I could scratch it off! :rotfl:

Clearly, I must be allergic to him. :snooty:

I'd totally get it if it just broke out and turned red, but what the heck makes it ITCH so darn much!

Sounds like you're getting a little beard burn. Maybe you could tape a strip of sandpaper above your upper lip and below your lower lip. Kiss your husband and see if the same thing happens to him.

You probably just have very sensitive skin and maybe a bit of a condition call dermagraphism. I have that. If anything puts pressure on your skin or scratches it, it creates a hive-like reaction that lasts for a little while. It's not a true allergy.

OMG! Whenever I scratch my legs, it makes raised red indentations! I've been known to scratch my name into my leg and show people! :rotfl:

I am off to google that condition!

Well, dang, that's what you have!! One of the symptoms is being able to write your name on skin doing exactly what you are doing!

Mine isn't that bad, but it is close. I never had it until I was in my late-30s. Well, I probably always had it but it is much more noticeable now.

Wow! Mine actually only "works" when my legs are WET, like in the shower, at a pool/hot tub, or on a humid day, now that I think about it. Just tried to do it now, wouldn't work, but if I took a shower, it would work... does every day!

The heat from the kiss probably made my skin wet enough.

How crazy!

Solution......
On the off days, or whenever he has stubble, do the big pucker-kiss. That's what I do....minimal skin to stubble contact.
let us know how it works out...

or maybe you could rub benadryl on your face instead of moisturizer. Then again before you kiss to stop the allergic reaction before it happens. :rotfl2:

Wow now I know why I keep asking my dh to shave. He never understands why except I have to put up with the reaction.

Ha, the title made me giggle!

I totally get what your saying. If dbf doesnt shave and he stubble-y (couldn't figure out how to spell that) it does sometimes irritate my lips. I however have eczema so my skin already has a high sensivity. But if it touches anywhere else, I'm fine.
