I swear I'm not a prude, but

I do feel there is a time and place for everything. I took my daughter (12) to her softball practice last evening. At this practice, there are teams of girls ages from 5-13.

I park the van and start watching her practice. Right in front of the field, there is this couple, maybe in their late teens. They start making out. French kissing, butt kneading, and rubbing, spooning. They continued through the whole practice.

First of all, why don't DH and I have that much action? :lmao:

Second, maybe I'm old fashioned, but I just did not feel that was appropriate at a softball practice for little girls.

So, then, Brit gets in the van after practice and I say, "So, who were the two lovebirds at your practice?" And she replies, "Oh, that was my coach's daughter."

I get home and start to tell my husband about it and he says "Yea! That's the coach's daughter!" It apparently left an impression on him the week before.

Well, I guess he is at least as old fashioned as me!!:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

That's gross.:scared: I am an affectionate person but come on- do not knead my butt in public! I can't believe the coach is okay watching that. blech!:sad2:

I don't think you're old fashioned. I'm 21 and I'm a little disturbed by that!

I really don't like that much PDA. It just makes everyone else around feel awkward. :scared: :rotfl:

No, your not being prudish..

We noticed the same thing going on at our sons game last night (he's 13). This couple had to be no older than 16, and ALL over each other. I told my husband, if that's what they do in public....who knows what they do in private!! And her older brother was standing beside her :confused3

Yea okay, but the youngest is 4 now, so what's that tell ya?!!??:lmao: :rotfl2:

That you're not getting any...:lmao:

I have two kids with a space of 6 years between. That's because it was 6 years before we got any action. :lmao: :rotfl: You're doing much better than we were.

I'm the type of person who doesn't even like holding hands in front of people all the time! Even when it's in front of my friends! I'm nearing mid-20s, and I guess I could technically fall into the same age category as those people, but NO WAY. I know I'm a lot more conservative than most, but come on, time and place for everything!

I am an affectionate person but come on- do not knead my butt in public!

This comment made me LOL :rotfl2:

I have no problems with PDA in general. I've ALWAYS been a touchy feely type person however in front of my DAD!!!!!! No that would not have happened. I do see how teenagers seem to be in their own little world and oblivious to everything around them though. I don't think it's appropriate but the little girls probably aren't as bothered by it as THE DAD, did I mention ewww!!!!!!

Not appropriate in public. We can thank MTV, myspace and YouTube.
If you are a prude, the world could use more prudes.

And not the parents? Not the parent who was the coach and allowed this to go on during the entire game? In front of little girls and their families?

Sorry, I blame the parents on this one. They are teaching their dd that this overly-sexualized exhibitionist behavior is A-OK.

I can tell you that if I’d ever behaved like that in public in front of my parents, I would have been grounded until I was 18. And that boy would be holding his own butt to stop the bleeding from the buckshot my father would have aimed at him.

My neighbor's daughter used to do what I call the "yard mambo" with her boyfriend in their front yard. She would straddle him, rub herself all over him, shove her tatas in his face as she straddled him, etc. It was quite a show! The boy looked totally overwhelmed by her "enthusiasm".  Really, it was disgusting. I see nothing wrong with a young couple kissing, holding each other close. However, their shows were definitely out of place. If you must "get it on", then get a room or hide somewhere from public view! :rolleyes1

So, I did what any caring neighbor would do when their show carried on... I'd turn the sprinklers on! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I don't know if they got the hint or maybe her parents did (yes, her parents knew what was going on :rolleyes1 ). All I know is that their public "rolls in ze grass" stopped! :thumbsup2 ;)

I can't stand seeing that type of PDA. I don't have a problem with hand holding, arms around each other, simple kisses, but no exchanging of body fluids :scared: or touching an area covered by a 2-piece bathing suit!
