I wasn't happy working at the church (as I'm sure most of you knew) so I decided to look for another job. I got offered a job making $3 less/hr than what I made at the church and turned that down. I called a place that I used to work where they do data entry and enter information on people who are newly hired in the state of Virginia so that deadbeat dads (and moms) can be tracked down. I didn't know if they'd have a job available, but it turned out that I called at the perfect time. They even gave me a 50 cent/hour raise over what I was making the last time I was there. I still make 50 cents less/hour than I did at the church but the work is a LOT easier there, the people are nicer, I'm more appreciated, and I feel like I'm making a difference since maybe some of the people I enter information on will end up being forced to pay child support...oh and I don't have to work until 1:30 so since I only have class three mornings a week, I get Tuesday and Thursday mornings for myself.
