I shouldnt be suprised at this point...

Did you tell that to the courts that try kids as adults?

How about 17 year olds that can be tried as adults?

Or is your definition of a child narrower?

lisalovespooh, then if children can not give consent we better start arresting alot of them for committing rape when they have sex with one another or the 19 year old that has sex with a 15 or 16 year old. But thats another topic about laws that arent enforced.

OH really!

:lmao: :lmao:

Your command of the legal system is most impressive.

There isn't ONE case of statutory rape...anywhere, is there?

Wow!

Oh enlightened one--do teach us more about the legal system and how you can equate a consenting homosexual relationship with raping a 5 year old.

Please--share.

We will await your astounding legal expertise...

You want to be upset that the church promoted homosexual relationships (or whatever they did...) that is fine.

You are entitled to your opinion.

But faking your knowledge of the legal system is a very very sad way to defend your position.

And using innocent victims to define why homosexuality should be wrong...must be sad to stoop so low. :stir:

And on "children" who commit crimes--each child is given their day in court and at that time it is determined whether or not they should be tried as an adult for the crime they committed.

But you weren't talking about teens and bordernline adults earlier--you were talking priests and children who were much younger and much more innocent than a 17 yo who committed a pre-meditated murder. :furious:

oh, look out for your shifting position. First you say children cant give consent and now you redefine that. Can children give consent or cant they?

Need I remind you that it is a homosexual organization out there that is pushing for legitamization on the back of this gay rights movement.

Oh yes, and from the enlightened Europe:

As the employee of a wonderful boss who is gay, in a loving, committed relationship and the wife of a man who was molested as a child, I am absolutely appalled by your comparison of a gay person to a molester. It shows just how naive you are and how stubborn you are deliberately being to not understand the difference. How sad. I'll pray for you and your short sightedness.

Most folks get their news from a legitimate news source. Your website makes Fox News look like the New York Times. Link us with a unbiased website and we'll listen.

When you find me an unbiased website, then I will post from it.

Children cannot give consent. Where did I say they can?

I'll switch to this mode now. popcorn::

I think most people of common intellect see the difference between a "child" and someone who's legally a "minor". Which is why most people see a statutory rape case involving a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old ridiculous.

Episcopalian and proud of it! I especially dig our new Presiding Bishop!!! I'm hetero for the record and I see homosexuality as a normal form of adult relationship. I'm particulary afraid of people I see as deviants. They are the intolerant and I feel they are the cause of the hellish wars, crimes against women and children, and genocide. They want everyone to be just like them or else. Will you guys please find an island and all of you go live on it!? Then you can find the evil differences between one and other leaving the rest of us in a peaceful, loving society free of all the judgements you want to cast. P.S. Take the guns with you! We won't need them with you all gone. No paranoia. Don't forget the POTUS, you will need a "decider."

So tell me when childhood ends and it morphs into being a "minor".

So consenual relationships between 19 year olds and 14 year olds are OK?

Thank you. I would have even taken a Fox link. Interesting that your original source neglected to mention that the majority of the Dutch people are against this and that your article's author even insinuated that this party will grow and flourish in Holland, which it obviously will not. That's what I mean about unbiased websites.

I'd love to hear this guy shout this stuff at the top of his lungs outside the courtroom of a child molestation trial "jail the gays too!". Somebody give him a megaphone and a bulls-eye for his back.
Ahhh...the precious anonymity of the internets. :rotfl2:

I'm all about equal rights. And exercising the right to free speech may not come with much of a consequence these days. But don't you ever just kick yourself for looking like a horses a$$ to the rest of humanity? I bet that's why extremist groups where hoods and masks. The shame...

And I thought the only thing still being called a loonie was my country's dollar coin...I stand corrected.

Hey, thanks for the tip, OP--I will definitely check out the Episcopalian church now! (I'm kinda in the process of church shopping--again!)
What an awesome church leader! And she knows oysters, too! (Mighty tasty!)
Keep passing along those helpful tidbits of info! :sunny:

Seems to me, unless you are an Episcopalian, your "outrage" would be better aimed at something you disagree with in your own denomination. I'm sure the Episcopalians can work this out without outside distractions. If the end result is a split, so be it. Christianity has many denominations. There is one for everyone. If yours shares your outrage, fine. If not, I respectfully suggest you find one that better fits your beliefs. Not all Christians believe the way you do. If you don't like that, I'm sorry, but there really isn't much you can do about it.
C'mon, eclectics, you're not up for a rousing rendition of "My Religion's Better Than Your Religion"? ;)
