We walked over 120 miles in a week - but I didn't lose an ounce because the food was too amazing and I ate like a princess!

We had an amazing 8 day stay at the All Star Sports with the basic dining plan. This is just a quick "here's what we ate list" in case anyone has any specific questions. (We LOVE dining at Disney!)

Best snacks - Dole whips, pineapple bars at the ice cream stands, pretzel sticks from Goofy's Candy Company, funnel cake from Typhoon Lagoon, HUGE ice cream servings from End Zone

Counter serve - Cooke's of Dublin (Downtown Disney) - yummy fish and chips - but the flies were HORRIBLE
Sunshine Seasons (Epcot) - we liked the Asian noodles and spicy chicken
Pecos Bill Cafe (MK) - really LOVED the fixin's for the burgers and the taco salad was really tasty
End Zone (ALL Star Sports) - normal food court - not great, but not bad
Leaning Palms (Typhoon Lagoon) - tasty bbq sandwiches
Picnic in the Park (AK) - we REALLY liked this - although the pieces of chicken were SMALL - we got the 3 person meal for 4 of us and the chicken wouldn't have been enough - my parents got the ham and had lots extra so the boys ate that
Wolfgang Pucks Express - WOW!! How is this counter serve?? Everything was so awesome - although we had to leave a tip - which we weren't counting on! - it was DELICIOUS!! (and for the 4 of us it was over $75 - for a counter serve!!!)

Table serve - Chef Mickey's - we thought the ribs were flavorful and so tender - also loved the mashed potatoes
Mama Melroses - DS (10) got the steak and it was hands down the best - we all wished we would have gotten it!! The cheesecake with blood orange sauce was amazing, too - best decaf coffee all week
Garden Grill - DH really enjoyed - I LOVED the honey butter and filled up on it and the bread!! The vanilla bean cream on the blueberry skillet was also amazing.
San Angel Inn - DH liked his beef - I had the veal and it was ok - the dessert was really great - he got the white chocolate mousse with fresh berries in a thin pastry shell - delicious!! The bread pudding was yummy, too!
Donald's Safari Breakfast - good - not my favorite meal - lots to choose from, just crowded and loud - really liked experimenting with the new things on the buffet that were unfamiliar to me - some of it was really tasty
Grand Floridian Cafe (we paid oop) for breakfast while the boys did the pirate adventure - beautiful setting - normal breakfast cuisine
Teppan Edo - the shrimp was AMAZING!!!!! And the green tea pudding was surprisingly yummy. This was my parents' favorite meal.
O'Hana's with Lilo and Stitch - favorite breakfast - delicious food - especially the fresh pineapple and yummy Mickey waffles and the eggs were the best we'd ever had - and the juice - we loved this meal!

Somehow we managed to have 3 extra counter serve meals - I HATE wasting!! My son and I had split some meals so we would have extra for our last day, but we forgot to eat another one on the day we paid oop for the Grand Floridian!! We tried to fit it in on the last day, but we were too stuffed!!

It rained on us a lot - but we just put on our ponchos and went - I think the crowds were not bad at all and the heat wasn't bad at all and it was just a magiacl week!! I'm not afraid of Disney in July anymore!! If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer!!

How was the rest of the food at Garden Grill? How was the steak and fish? How was the character interaction?

wow, thanks for the review...we've gone to Mama Melrose several times and never even noticed steak on the menu, lol. Good to know!

(We always gain 3-8 lbs...but it's all water weight, right:lmao:)

So would you recommend O'Hana breakfast over Tusker House then? I have both booked, but keep hearing that O'Hana is much calmer and relaxing. We will have 3 kids, one set of grandparents, one mentally challenged adult, a stroller and a wheelchair. DH and I will be the buffet runners, photographers, and character buffers and Tusker House seems a little overwhelming. I really don't want to start a park day off with a headache.

What'cha think?

I have never read anyone mentioned that you need to leave a tip when eating at WPE. How much did you leave for the restaurant?? :confused3
We plan on eating there for the first time ever next Sunday. What should we do? Tip or no tip??
