I Saw Mommy Kissing Goofy Claus - Dec '09 - DAY ONE, FINALLY (2/20) - PG# 40

never been to MVMCP, but from what Tour Guide Mike says- you want to be there on time to experience all of it! Could you do MVMCP on a different night? OR do you already have tickets? If you really really want Ohana, then I would just go for it- show up early and see if you can get in early- then head on over to the christmas party and do what you can.

Oh, and CONGRATS :banana::banana::banana: on finally getting Ohana's. Don't you love stalking the online ADR? It's one of my favorite things to do :rotfl:

I just got a ressie for Ohana :cool1:

I got it for the night of MVMCP, but the time is 6:40... how crucial do you think it is that we be at MK right at 7? I still plan to stalk Ohana for ressies until I get what I want :lmao: - but input on MVMCP is greatly appreciated!

You can get into the party as early as 4. We don't use a park ticket that day and usually roam around the resort and check out the monorail resorts, maybe even swim if it's warm :rotfl2: but then head over right at 4 when they let you in to get some of the rides done and then enjoy the part as soon as it starts at 7. The fireworks are amazing and you can't miss that as well as the parade (2nd parade is less busy but later in the night) and they had a stage show last year with singing and dancing in Tomorrowland (not sure about this year?!) and that was good as well!!!

Since you are paying to get in at 4 you might want to keep checking back with Ohana for an earlier time or another day, just a thought!

I have never been to either...but, that being said if I were planning and I had paid for the party I think I would keep watching for a different day and time for Ohana! don't sweat it you can continue to check up to the day of your current ressie...:yay: someone is sure to CX
:wave2:

I'm glad you managed to get most of the ADR's you wanted :goodvibes and i'm sure you'll be able to tweak them nearer the time so that you are 100% happy with them.

We havent done Ohanas or MVMCP before but we are doing them this year. We have booked our dinner at the Plaza for 4pm the day of the party, so that we'll definately be ready to party at 7pm - cant wait to get totally surrounded in christmassy goodness. We've done MNSSHP twice and each time we were never there before 7pm, I think it just depends on how much you are wanting to do during the party. If you are wanting to see & do everything and soak it all in then maybe try and change Ohana for another day - but if you aint too fussed, then stick with it :thumbsup2

Your little one is so adorable!! and that cake, OMG, too cute  I definately wouldnt have been able to cut into it

I am going to continue my daily (multi-daily) stalking. I WILL find a 5:00-5:30 ADR!

We currently have LTT as our party night dinner for 5:30, but we'd love to do Ohana...

Guess who will be riding Kali River Rapids?!?! :cool1:

Madi had her 2 year well child check up today and she is weighing in at 33 pounds and is 37.75 inches tall! 95th percentile for both height and weight! She was 10 pounds at birth and has always been in the 90-95th percentile for both!

She got her hib vaccine and her flu shot. The doctor said everything looked great and she was impressed with Madilynn's knowledge (counting, recognizing all 26 letters, colors, shapes, etc.) - what can I say, she's got a teacher for a Mumma!

I am sure you guys will have a great time! A friend of mine was just telling me that she went out for a whale watch (out of Provincetown, not Barnstable) and the captain said that it was the best trip of the season. They got to follow a pod of 4 or 5 whales and they were really showing off! I will be wishing you tons of luck on your trip! Where else are you planning to go/do?

We're staying in Boston and spending a couple of days there but also driving to Salem and Portland (Maine) as well as Hyannis/Barnstable :) I'm getting such a kick out of looking at Google maps and seeing the place names that are the same as here... I think I need to get out more! :rotfl2:
Ooh congrats on the Ohana ressie, the online system is great for checking whenever without having to be on hold for ages!

Will you stop off in Plymouth? Check out Plymouth Rock where the pilgrims "landed" (they first landed in Provincetown, but Plymouth lays claim...)/

I just got all caught up again! The Birthday party pics are adorable! She looks so stinkin' happy! And that cake! I should have had that for my wedding! I love your ADR's, it makes me soooo hungry for Disney food!!!!

Congratulations on Ohana's. I've never been but heard great things.

I have done MVMCP, I got there a bit before 7, I watched the show, then the parade, the the fireworks, then The bed time story with Mickey, that took me right up to midnight, then I went back to the resort. I was there just for the festivities, no rides, my daughter and her friend however rode all the rides several times with no wait.

An "intention" ring, that is funny. At least you kind of had an idea. I mean you knew it was coming because he "intended" to, I just love that.:lmao:
Hope you get your ring.

My romantic proposal came without a ring, well it came without romance too. We were watching T.V. and he said "Are you going to marry me or what?" I thought he was joking so I didn't answer, a few months later he asked again, the same way. I just laughed at him, this went on for a few years, he would set a date but I would back out, finally one day he said "I reserved March 3rd at the court house to get married." And that was it, I got a ring a year after we got married.

Love all the clothes for Madi, your baby girl is going to be dressed to the nines at Disney.

Congrats on the Ohana ressie!!!! Your persistance paid off! Good job!

And I have only one other thing to say....you are so freakin crazy!!! Already packing!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: You're too much! I am so last minute...our flight leaves at 7:30 at night...we have to leave our house at like 3:00 to get the kids from school and go to the airport...I'll probably start packing at 12:00that afternoon!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

As far as purchases though, I have been collecting a few things here and there! I have to still buy some things...haven't bought anymore pins on ebay yet for this trip. That is one thing I have to still do! Last time I got some great deals and the kids had a ball trading them!

wooo hoo for Ohana's! Gotta love stalking the online ADR system :lmao:

Love all of Madilynn's stuff..it's all so cute..the wolly crocs look so comfy i could wear them myself!

   Happy Dance, Happy Dance!!!

MVMCP Night!!!!!!!!

   Happy Dance, Happy Dance!!!

Which night are you doing O'hana? I made my ADR's yesterday at my 90 day mark :cool1: and the best I could get after 9 pm. That was with two nights of options. Both on MVMCP nights.

I ended up picking Whispering Canyon. I thought about trying to lie about my party size as suggested on another thread but then I got to thinking that when and if I bring my kids back to WDW they would probably enjoy O'hanas. One of the few restaurants they would like. I also thought that this would probably be my only chance to see WL. We can easily stop by The Poly since it is on the monorail. It is my favorite resort and I really want DH to see it. I also want a cocktail inside a pineapple. :thumbsup2 I have never seen WL but will probably not be able to get DH to take the journey without food at the end of trip.

Anyway, I am very happy for you and your O'hana ADR. Enjoy!!!!

PS. Very cool purchases for DD. She is a lucky girl.

I am reading backwards. Sorry if it makes it confusing. :goodvibes

How nice to have a child-less trip to The World!!! Where are you staying? Happy birthday to your DD tomorrow (14 years).

We are staying at POP.

Your daughter's birthday looked wonderful. What a cake!!!!! I haven't even downloaded my DD pictures yet. Maybe I will do that today since I am off of work. Of course that would require me to leave DIS. :rotfl: I really should be doing this: :laundy:

Now I'm MAD!!! I set the alarm for 5:45, hear it, turn it off and sleep til 6:30... No biggie I'm thinking...

I come out and get on the computer and get on the Disney site. Error# E02020305001!!! Can not retrieve my reservation number!!!

So I come on the DIS to search for answers... Looks like there may have been a glitch and people were able to make their ressies anytime after midnight... I am thinking they have now caught on and I am the one hurting for it.

 DAMMIT!!!

I had the exact same problem yesterday (09/09) morning. Did they ever figure out what the problem was? I also ended up calling. It worked better but I would have liked to have access to the ADR's via the internet. O'hanas was the only thing on my first choice I didn't get. As I already stated in my pp it is probably for the best.

One more thing. Teppan Edo was my kids favorite place. They loved watching the cook and they thought the steak and noodles were great.

Now I really am going to do this: :laundy: Yeah, really. :rolleyes1

Congrats on O'hanas!! :yay:

And Madi will be the best dressed little girl to ever hit WDW. All of it is a-d-o-r-a-b-le. She has more shoes than me. :lmao:

:dancer: :yay: on the RESSIE'S for OHANA'S :yay: :dancer:
I'm soooo happy things are falling into place!!!
love all the gear and stuff...
have a great one!
