I Saw Mommy Kissing Goofy Claus - Dec '09 - DAY ONE, FINALLY (2/20) - PG# 40

Congratulations on Ohana's. I've never been but heard great things.

I have done MVMCP, I got there a bit before 7, I watched the show, then the parade, the the fireworks, then The bed time story with Mickey, that took me right up to midnight, then I went back to the resort. I was there just for the festivities, no rides, my daughter and her friend however rode all the rides several times with no wait.

An "intention" ring, that is funny. At least you kind of had an idea. I mean you knew it was coming because he "intended" to, I just love that.:lmao:
Hope you get your ring.

My romantic proposal came without a ring, well it came without romance too. We were watching T.V. and he said "Are you going to marry me or what?" I thought he was joking so I didn't answer, a few months later he asked again, the same way. I just laughed at him, this went on for a few years, he would set a date but I would back out, finally one day he said "I reserved March 3rd at the court house to get married." And that was it, I got a ring a year after we got married.

Love all the clothes for Madi, your baby girl is going to be dressed to the nines at Disney.

We have a full day (8:20AM ressie at CP and EMHe til 11PM) of MK, so the MVMCP will be for us to enjoy the party and maybe a ride or two...

I love the story of your husbands "proposal" - :rotfl2: ...men!

Congrats on the Ohana ressie!!!! Your persistance paid off! Good job!

And I have only one other thing to say....you are so freakin crazy!!! Already packing!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: You're too much! I am so last minute...our flight leaves at 7:30 at night...we have to leave our house at like 3:00 to get the kids from school and go to the airport...I'll probably start packing at 12:00that afternoon!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

As far as purchases though, I have been collecting a few things here and there! I have to still buy some things...haven't bought anymore pins on ebay yet for this trip. That is one thing I have to still do! Last time I got some great deals and the kids had a ball trading them!

Now - I am not packing, I am just putting aside a few things that we have pre-purchased into a piece of luggage we pre-purchased :rotfl:

I sure hope that Madi will find some interest in pins, but if not - I certainly will!!!

wooo hoo for Ohana's! Gotta love stalking the online ADR system :lmao:

Love all of Madilynn's stuff..it's all so cute..the wolly crocs look so comfy i could wear them myself!

Oh I do love stalking ADR's!!! And I am thinking a pair of wholly Crocs are in my very near future!

Which night are you doing O'hana? I made my ADR's yesterday at my 90 day mark :cool1: and the best I could get after 9 pm. That was with two nights of options. Both on MVMCP nights.

I ended up picking Whispering Canyon. I thought about trying to lie about my party size as suggested on another thread but then I got to thinking that when and if I bring my kids back to WDW they would probably enjoy O'hanas. One of the few restaurants they would like. I also thought that this would probably be my only chance to see WL. We can easily stop by The Poly since it is on the monorail. It is my favorite resort and I really want DH to see it. I also want a cocktail inside a pineapple. :thumbsup2 I have never seen WL but will probably not be able to get DH to take the journey without food at the end of trip.

Anyway, I am very happy for you and your O'hana ADR. Enjoy!!!!

PS. Very cool purchases for DD. She is a lucky girl.

We're doing O'Hana on 12/10. At first the only one I was able to get was for 6:50, which would cut in to our party time drastically - but after much stalking I landed a 5:05 :cool1:

We're doing Whispering Canyon on our full MK day (12/7) - I have planned a few resort dining ADR's so we can check out the Christmas decor! The only place not on the list of ADR's is Boardwalk/Beach Club - but we may try to sneak over there at some point...

I am reading backwards. Sorry if it makes it confusing. :goodvibes

We are staying at POP.

Your daughter's birthday looked wonderful. What a cake!!!!! I haven't even downloaded my DD pictures yet. Maybe I will do that today since I am off of work. Of course that would require me to leave DIS. :rotfl: I really should be doing this: :laundy:

I had the exact same problem yesterday (09/09) morning. Did they ever figure out what the problem was? I also ended up calling. It worked better but I would have liked to have access to the ADR's via the internet. O'hanas was the only thing on my first choice I didn't get. As I already stated in my pp it is probably for the best.

One more thing. Teppan Edo was my kids favorite place. They loved watching the cook and they thought the steak and noodles were great.

Now I really am going to do this: :laundy: Yeah, really. :rolleyes1

The site still gives me that error message from time tio time and I just open a dif browser (explorer, firefox, safari) until I can get in!

Yay for Ohana's :cool1: And I love all that stuff your purchased...I'm going to go shopping now :)

I think shopping - childless - on Saturday is in order!

I am trying really hard to be a good DIS friend and read and comment on everyone's PTR that has been reading and commenting on mine. It's the only right and polite thing to do :goodvibes It's a little time consuming but I have got time on my hands (if you read my PTR you saw that I lost my job and had a friend of a friend help me out and give me something answering phones for his business, but alas the economy is bad and his business is VERY slow!)

Anyway I would like to start out by saying you are such a wonderful Mommy!! I'm a little jealous of Madi's Birthday party! You had some awesome ideas! I always forget about ebay, not sure why as I am totally into getting a deal!!

I wish I had a picture of my sexy pirate costume, finished off with a pair of awesome fishnets! Not sure why I have no pictures, I think maybe I hit the bar up too early.

I'm glad you decided that MVMCP was worth it. DH and I have never been, but we've been to MNSSHP and we had a blast!! (I was a flapper girl and he was Austin Powers!) We always think that the parties are worth it just because it is extra special Disney time that not everyone gets.

I am also glad to see that you are remembering that you will be with your 2 year old DD. When we were there last time these poor little babies were screaming and crying because they were sooo tired, and their parents were pulling them all over the place. I felt like saying, "He lady, I need a nap, your kids definitely need one!!"

I know there is a great debate for EMH, I think that if you plan your day right and you pace yourselves and your kids are up to it, it is definitely something that can be done!!

Okay, on to my next DIS friend! I also love reading everyone's PTR because you learn so much. Everyone comes from a different walk of life, everyone has a different story and journey of what brought them here and I just love reading about everyone's Disney dreams. Till next time Mama!!

Hiya from a fellow Cape Codder!! (Well a relocated one!) We're also going to be at WDW in December and are so excited about it!

All of your plans sound great, can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

OH MY GOSH i have missed so much.

Birthday party: AMAZING. Even with the last minute stress & drama, you pulled off probably the best children's birthday party ever. And that CAKE, WOW. how did you even manage to cut that thing? It was beautiful!

ADRs: Impressive... You did good! PLUS, YOU GOT O'HANA????? Send some of that pixie dust this way, I'll be spending tommorrow trying (foolishly) to book it for 11. I know, I think maybe I just like disappointment, seems like I am really setting myself up to fail, but if I learned anything from you, persistance is key! :) Even the last minute ADR drama didn't stop you... youmust do well under pressure!

Sorry for being MIA for so long... crazy to think how far we've come though, seems like our trips are so close, I remember thinking they were just SOOOO far away! :) :yay:

ebay is my addiction... I get looking at one thing and next thing I know I am watching 20 auctions!

I wish I had a picture of my sexy pirate costume, finished off with a pair of awesome fishnets! Not sure why I have no pictures, I think maybe I hit the bar up too early.

I love that we all have our glory days to look back on and laugh

A party is always a great excuse to do something extra - a Disney party is even better!!!

I want to see it all and do it all, but I am not going to be one of those parents... :sad2:

Alright fellow Cape Codder - you can't leave me with that, I need more details - where? When? How long have you been gone?! No PTR for you? When/where in December?

OH MY GOSH i have missed so much.

Birthday party: AMAZING. Even with the last minute stress & drama, you pulled off probably the best children's birthday party ever. And that CAKE, WOW. how did you even manage to cut that thing? It was beautiful!

I still have one little sliver left in the fridge. We had a piece last night and it was as delicious as it was the first day!

ADRs: Impressive... You did good! PLUS, YOU GOT O'HANA????? Send some of that pixie dust this way, I'll be spending tommorrow trying (foolishly) to book it for 11. Some days I feel like pressure is my middle name... God must have granted me special powers to deal with it :3dglasses

Sorry for being MIA for so long... crazy to think how far we've come though, seems like our trips are so close, I remember thinking they were just SOOOO far away! :) :yay:

And now we're SOOOOO close... kind of! Welcome back :goodvibes

Took a trip to the Disney store this weekend and bought Madi's Halloween costume... pictures to follow... No hints, but you will all just be :rotfl2:

Hopefully I can sneak on tonight, the Pat's are playing tonight so Shamus will be busy with that...

I still have not decided what we are doing about a halloween costume for Ashton, yet! I have given a few ideas to Ashton so far the only thing he has hit on was Mickey Mouse (that will be an easy one)

i want to see her costume! i keep forgetting Halloween is so close...and yes, go pats! i am a huge HUGE patriots fan:goodvibes:goodvibes

We hadn't even begun to discuss what Madi should be this year and I went shopping this weekend and found the perfect costume. She wasn't with me and either was Shamus - so I called home to get his opinion. Got his approval and got the costume. :thumbsup2

Can you take a wild guess???

Any ideas???

Give up yet???

Here it comes...

IMG_1369.jpg

Can you even handle that?!?!?!?!?!

That is the face she gives when you say "Say Cheese!"

OMG!! That is too cute  She is picture perfect, I can see her on americas next top model when she's older and them pulling that photo out of her portfolio :cloud9: Absolutely adorable

Cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It reminds me of when my oldes was a Hershey's Kiss...it was worn the same. She'll love the whole trick-or-treat thing! We haven't even thought about Halloween yet! Gotta get on it!
