I saved $736.16 today!!

I just thought I would pass this along to all you budget folks just in case someone was running into the same problem.

I've been trying and trying to get a discounted room rate for our visit 10/8-10/19. Each time I tried BAT & EWP nothing was available at any resort. Today I finally got someone on the phone that new what was what. Turns out BAT & EWP have a 10 night maximum limit and we are staying 11 nights. The CM split our trip up 9 & 2 and CBR/POFQ and it saved us $736.16!

Which resort were you able to get for 10/8 - 10/11 and at what rate with which code? I have only been able to get water view CSR and I am really hoping something shows up for POR or POFQ but would go for CBR if it came available.

AdventurerKat: we are staying a CBR 10/8-10/16 with EWP (annual pass code). I got it for $93.66 per night including tax. It sounded like POFQ was available for the entire time we are going (thru 10/19).

No such luck for me. Were all of your dates discounted? Maybe its because you have a longer reservation? Or got really lucky with that phone call!

Yes, all dates are discounted. Keep trying. It took me at least a dozen times before I got someone that knew something. I called 1-800-828-0228. You can also try 1-877-939-3732.

The same thing happened to me. I was so disappointed when the CM said there was nothing available for 14 nights, then she split it 10 and 4 and I got what I wanted!!! Congratulations to you!!

I'm sorry but I've forgotten which dates you said you're trying to get. Just wanted to add (which will not make your day) that I called yesterday to down grade from WL to POFQ and got all 5 nights with a mail code I recieved back in July, I think. Also received an email code recently for 9/30- 12/17.

I had the AKL for $109, but switched to an MK resort (WL) for $134 for a Courtyard View, that's when I had to down grade <sigh>. I'm staying 9/27-10/2. I like POFQ andf think it will be nice sicne the renovations. Anyone stayed there recently?

I understand the email code is only good by name. The pin number brings up a name at CR. I'm happy to share if anyone can use it!!

hi BaciBecky- fyi- I stayed at POFQ in June and I LOVED it. It is such a pretty resort and very fun for the kids. I never stayed there before the renovations but imo it is a very lovely place.

I have been trying to get Oct 8 - Oct 11. It is a busy weekend, with Columbus Day on Monday. Its not essential we get a better discount or a different resort, have CSR at $109.00 and that is not bad. Just hoping to do a bit better and get the resort I wanted.

At least you can keep trying right up until the day before you go! And since cancelations do happen, even on a busy weekend, you might just get pixie dusted at the last minute!!!
