I said Ohana, not Obama!!!! - A BFF's do NYE TR **UPDATE 11/4 Pg. 38**

My advice on accomplishing MS will sound a little weird. People think it's best to do stomach churning rides when their stomach is empty. That will not help you at all. You have to eat something, but then let it settle in for about two hours. Then your stomach will at least not be empty, but then you're not at the just eaten phase. I know you have a lot of trouble with your stomach, so I would say definitely just do the green side first. :thumbsup2 And make sure someone has soda. ::yes::

:lmao: Thank you for the advice! Seriously though. I'm gonna DO IT.

YES !! That Mission Space T-Shirt would be EPIC !!! Let's make some and sell them on Esty. We should be able to retire in 6 months.

I do seriously love this idea ......

:lmao: We should totally open an Etsy shop with those crazy things on it....

Like:

Mission Space: Go Orange or Go Home

Yeti, Yeti, Yeti, Yeti, Yeti!

My Map Only Has a Magic Kingdom On It.

Seriously, I could go on forever. LOL.

We rode EE on our last trip and DS mentioned the the Yeti was working. A CM heard us taking and told us how cranky that Yeti was and how she didn't want to work some days. He said they called her Betty .....Betty the Yeti. LOL

Go Orange or Go Home would make a good t-shirt... but I couldn't buy it. I'm a "Green side and only then if I must" type. I can do rollercoasters no problem, but MS does make my stomach dance. I've never tried the Orange team because I would get pukey.
However! I'm glad Farrell deemed it a success! I love how you prepared her for it, spinning her in circles.

Day 7
I do miss Horizons sometimes. But I am a little lame.

I'm lame too so we can lame together! :thumbsup2 I miss all of those original Future World attractions! With Test Track down we have found we spend maybe two hours in FW now!

So we get to our pre-boarding area with Gary Sinise. And being obnoxious like I am, and because Farrell and I are just like little kids, I look at Farrell when he comes up on the screen and say very loudly....

"Lieutenant Dan......ice cream....."

I'm not sure everyone got my joke, but you know. :rotfl2:

I get it!!! :rotfl: This is one of my families favorite lines of many movie lines!! I think if it weren't for movies my family could not interact verbally!! :lmao:

So far the morning sounds pretty successful--especially the not getting sick part! I haven't tried the orange because the green side makes me nauseous and I am so afraid to ruin my trip! I am a wimp!! :rotfl: Well, at least for Mission Space.... and anything involving heights!

Hahahaha.

"Take A Ride With Betty the Yeti!"

Spinning rides definitely do that to people. When I worked at Six Flags, the first ride I worked at was a spinning one. I became very familiar with clean up work and voban. Ugh. :rotfl2:

I miss so many of the old school attractions. I used to LOVE World of Motion and Horizons. I agree, now I'm like "ummmm", done in like 2 hours.

Believe me, if you get nauseous on green, DO NOT DO ORANGE! You will not be okay. LOL.

Hmmmm... all of this talk about Mission Space has me in a quandary...:rolleyes1

Do I play it safe and ride the Green Side or do I just throw caution to the wind... and go for the Orange...(dosed with medication ;) to be on the safe side...? ) Hmmm choices, choices....:rolleyes1

Awww... poor Figment...:worried:

I remember when he was the Main Man (or Dragon):figment:

Now he's been relegated to a supporting role...

but he seems to have a bit of a cult following so I'm sure he'll be going for a while...:cool2:

Haha, that is a quandary! So the question comes, do you have any tummy problems? If you don't, I say just throw caution to the wind and go Orange!

Figment was my everything when I was little and we first started going to WDW. He was like amazing to me. My absolute favorite ride and I had to go on it over and over again. I even have a huge Figment stuffy. ;)

I miss the original figment too. I loved it.

I know. I'm glad you filmed it once when we were there.

yay I'm all caught up

Yay! I know, it takes a while when you're behind.

Yo're going to love the dessert party! I would seriously do it every time if I could.

That is the cutest dress ever! I've never seen it before. They need to make it again for sure.

Hi, I'm new (this is my first post actually) and your TR was one of the first couple that I read. I was just in my local Walmart and saw that they had the pink Cinderella dress for sale! Thought I'd let you know since I remembered reading about it here :)

I guess I'm pretty alone in my love of the Tower of Terror. Oh, wait, no, I know Jen (Nermal9), loves it too! :lmao:

Nope I love it too. :cool1:

We use the 'not our dino' line in real life now. When it fits that something is not right, one of us will come out with 'Not our dino!' Yeah, we're a little warped. :crazy2: But it's Disney-warped, so it's all good. ::yes::

No shock that I have used it too. :rotfl2: Just that I sometimes have to explain it and depending on who I have to explain it to, they glaze over after I mention Disney. :lmao:

Took the kids out to dinner and Chris was talking about his Starcraft game and it was over my head so I just talked to him about Disney to give it back to him :rotfl:

How, that's awesome that your first post ever was on my TR! I'm seriously honored. :thumbsup2

That's awesome that they had it at Walmart! I need to go look at mine now. That's so cool.

Awesome! We could make like a ToT club! People who can just ride it over and over again. :goodvibes

Oh seriously, people's eyes glaze over all the time when I start talking about Disney. It's a constant subject in my life. But then it makes sense that we're all here on the DIS, doesn't it? :rotfl2:

Yeah, caught up on another TR! Loved all the updates, and I love your little Forrest Gump reference, though it's more like "Lieutenant Dan, Ice Cream!" That was awesome. I think I may go on Mission: SPACE Orange Side just for Gary. He's the... okay non-DISword in my head, ummm... coolest!

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Yes, Gary Sinise is definitely the......coolest! :lmao:

Day 7 - Friday January 6, 2012

So we just left off having spent some time with Lieutenant Dan at Mission: Space. We had a great time, and we were almost ready for our FP return time at Soarin'.

Now, let's be honest people. Dude....it has so many meanings. And I admit that I am just like Crush. I use this word all of the time. It will never be passé to me. It will always be awesome and appropriate. Which is why Turtle Talk with Crush was our next stop. I told Farrell just to go with it and she said okay.

So we headed into the Seas with Nemo and Friends and waited for a little while. Of course, the jellies were there! Gotta love jellies.

Soon, we were let in and took our seats.

I love this show and I'm aways waiting and waiting for some kid to go berserk in the front row and try to get all up in Crush's face. I'm not gonna lie, when we went last year I totally thought that kid would be my nephew, but dude (ha!), he let me down.

Sadly, no crazy kid antics this time around. But that's okay.

So of course, Crush does his normal skit of telling the kids to remember to say "dude" at every opportunity throughout the day. And then he goes:

"And parentals.......booyah!"

:lmao: Farrell and I just loved that. And because we are just like kids, we kept on saying "dude" and "booyah" for the rest of the day.

(No Dory's were harmed during this TR).

After the show, our return time for Soarin' was upon us. (Oh, and in case you were curious, Farrell loved Turtle Talk). We headed into the land and straight into the FP lane.

We walked right in and waited about 10 minutes. You could see the diminishing of the crowd levels, because it was early afternoon and the standby time was only 55 minutes. Why oh why weren't the crowds like this before, NOT on our LAST DAY!

Who doesn't love him? I love him.

I did the wise thing for any first timer and I made sure that we got the first row. No feet in our faces on this ride. Farrell liked the ride, but she did get a little nervous upon lift off. I swear, I have the marks in my arm to prove it. It was a good choice for what would end up being technically our last major attraction on the trip.

After that, it was time for us to head out and get ourselves some lunch.

Into World Showcase we go!

To get the most beautiful drink in the world.

It's a lovely thing, the Grey Goose Slushie.

Our lunch destination?

One of my favorites! We headed in and I had Farrell grab a seat while I ordered for us.

I'm telling you, I have the worst luck with people at Tangierine Cafe. And I'm not talking about the CM's, I'm talking about the other guests that I have to deal with.

The lady in front of me had the CM's remake the wrap, because they wanted chicken. No, they didn't get the wrap wrong, they just wanted chicken on it and nothing else. Because clearly, they didn't look at the food THAT'S DISPLAYED to see that there are things other than chicken on it. I got held up a bit waiting for the food because of this whole "remake this, remake that" event.

My beautiful chicken and lamb shwarma platter. Excellent stuff.

Farrell got the Mediterranean sliders combo and she loved hers! We're very similar in our food tastes, so it's no surprise.

By far my favorite pavilion architecturally.

After that, we had to head to the front of the park for our final ride of the trip, and back to the hotel to get our packing done for our early departure the next day.

Up next: Final ride of the trip and our final dinner. Where will that be?

Oh geez...it's almost over!! :sad1: Morocco is one of my favorites also! Your food looked delicious!!! And the Grey Goose!!! Yum!!!! Great choices! :thumbsup2

I know, I can't believe it's almost over myself. But I have so many things going on in my head I'm like "I have to finish!!!", before I go down in November. :lmao:

Tangierine Cafe is definitely one of my favorite CS restaurants in WDW. I have eaten there on my last five trips.
