I know, it's so depressing to leave! :sad1:

The trip was great. I honestly wouldn't have changed anything. Well, except maybe I would have stayed longer but that's always the case with me. :rotfl:

You put that beautifully. There are theme parks everywhere, but Disney is special. I love that once you're there, there's no reason to leave. WDW offers something for everyone aged 1-100. It's perfect.

(and, I got DH to start talking about next summers's trip in terms of when NOT if! Hooray! Had to share)

Sad that it's over, but relieved to know that you go often enough that I'll always have a TR of yours to read.

And, grateful to this TR of yours in particular because I made a new friend. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great ending to your trip. Yay for sitting near a Wisconsin family at Teppan Edo. :thumbsup2

I definitely agree about Universal. While I LOVED the WWOHP, the rest of it is just ok to me. I like thrill rides but I also like those classics. And yes, the new Little Mermaid ride looks amazing. I am in love with Prince Eric's castle. It is going to be a long wait until April...:( Lucky you for having a trip coming up soon!

That sounds like such a fantastic last evening, what a way to end a trip! Perfect timing getting out of dinner too! A lot of the time I'll do the "just watch, no pictures" thing, it just solidifies the experience.
UGH. MY FEELS. Seriously emotional there, I think one of the greatest things about Disney is the complete immersion in a different word, I've gone with so many different people, and gone with people who have never been there before, and it's one of the greatest things to do. I think part of the reason that I got so emotional on the trip with Paige was because she got it, and she loved it just as much as I did. It's so fantastic when that happens! UGH

Afro boot girl is my favorite too! She's such a snazzy dresser.

I totally agree, as much as I love roller coasters, that's not why I go to Disney. I haven't heard anything about the Universal stuff because I don't do Universal, but I just don't think anyone could ever beat Disney. I mean obviously I'm biased but still. OH and since you mentioned it I CANNOT WAIT to see the Little Mermaid and everything in person! I've been avoiding pictures! AHHHH. Okay sorry, went off on a tangent of my own there. I'm so glad Farrell got it! That's just awesome.

I'm so glad that Farrell "gets it". When you love Disney you want your friends and family to love it too. They don't always but it's so nice when they do. :thumbsup2

What a great last night in Disney!!! Your meal at Teppan Edo sounds really good!

Agreed - Disney really is like no place else! :goodvibes

Wah. The last day at Disney is always so hard! SE is a great last ride though! And eating at Teppan Edo sounds great, we went there a few years ago, and Brandon wasn't that impressed, but I'd really like to try it again! :thumbsup2

I agree with everything you said about Disney, and Universal and theme parks...Disney is SO much more than a theme park, it's like a whole world! A Disney World, if you will! :rolleyes1

(And with that last lame comment, I'm out!) :rotfl2:

OMG... I always wondered where they got go go girl science girl from myself...:lmao:

I for one will not judge your Star Trek: Next Generation fanship cause I liked it too and in fact think I had a little thing for Capt. Picard...:rolleyes1... um I think it was the voice ...:confused3 ... it's kind of the same way I feel about Alan Rickman (Professor Snape) ... ok-don't judge that... you should see him in person out of Snape Costume... he is pretty attractive for an older guy and his voice... I always thought that JK Rowling did his character a disservice by making him physically unattractive because I don't picture him that way... I mean I don't see him as a pretty boy but I mean... oops...sorry this is your tr and I'm getting way off topic...

Anyway, I'm glad you got right on Spaceship...that is a great ride even if it is slow... It's EPIC... (literally) and I'm really glad your dinner at Teppan went so well... I've never seen a female hibachi Chef so that was very cool as was the timing of Illuminations...

I'm really happy that Farrell got the whole Disney "thing" ... now you can still be friends with her... Just kidding... but it's nice to be able to share those sentiments with someone you care about...

And Disney is special... it's really a different place...It's like that quote from Peter Pan... “You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always love you. That’s where I’ll be waiting.”

It's almost like Disney's a place between a really good dream and waking up when you want to stay kind of asleep because you don't want to lose those warm and fuzzy feelings...:goodvibes

Okay now after having slipped into incredible sentimental nerdiness... I need to think of something sarcastic to say.... Hmmmm...

I gots nothing...:confused3

Thanks, I couldn't agree more! That's why we're all here on the DIS boards and talk about our love of Disney.

Oooohh, when? No seriously, when will you guys be going? :rotfl2:

Is it sad that you guys know I'll always have another TR that you can read? I think it might be.

I'm grateful that I made a new friend too. :goodvibes Which makes me realize that we live close to each other and should have a Chicago DISmeet.

That's seriously like the 3rd time I've sat with a Wisconsin family at Teppan Edo. It's weird. It's like they KNOW where I'm from...(and that I'm a Packer fan....:rolleyes1)

I am absolutely in love with Prince Eric's castle too! I can't wait to be able to explore the queue.

That sounds like such a fantastic last evening, what a way to end a trip! Perfect timing getting out of dinner too! A lot of the time I'll do the "just watch, no pictures" thing, it just solidifies the experience.

Disney immersion is seriously the best kind. It's such a great environment. I don't think I've ever not been happy in Disney. It's just the whole package for me. I'm glad that Paige got it too. It makes it that much more magical, doesn't it? :goodvibes

Afro boot girl is my favorite too! She's such a snazzy dresser.

Every time we get to that part of SSE, I'm cracking up at Afro Boot Girl. I just don't understand it and that's why I love it! :rotfl:

I'm one of those people that absolutely cannot avoid pictures, so I've been looking at all of them. However, I am also the kind of person that cannot avoid spoilers, and I love even knowing what's going to happen on a tv show, I'm not gonna lie.

I'm so glad that Farrell "gets it". When you love Disney you want your friends and family to love it too. They don't always but it's so nice when they do. :thumbsup2

I couldn't agree more. I had a little fear on the trip because I just didn't know if she would love it like I did. Maybe she doesn't love it to the degree that I do, but she loved it.

What a great last night in Disney!!! Your meal at Teppan Edo sounds really good!

It was a great way to end the trip for sure.

I know, the last day is always the worst.

Definitely give Teppan Edo a try again. I love it because it's a hibachi restaurant and I just love those. I've never had a bad meal there.

I love your lame comment! Keep 'em coming! :rotfl:

Hey, no judgment here! And I love Alan Rickman! I adored him when he was in Sense and Sensibility. :goodvibes

I know, I told Farrell that my requirement for remaining friends with her is that she love Disney. If she didn't....I'm out. :lmao:

I couldn't agree more! And it's okay to end with sentimental nerdiness. Sometimes even the most sarcastic of us all can't find something snarky to say. :rotfl2:

There have been a lot of things I've been reading online about the Fantasyland expansion and the subsequent expansion that Universal will be doing at Universal Florida. They're saying that Universal is going to beat Disney at their own game.

But to me, all Universal is doing is thrill rides. They're not giving me complete immersion. And while I love Universal, I'm much more for complete immersion. I mean come on guys, you've seen the pictures of the queue at the Little Mermaid ride? It's insane! And to me, it's the little details.

Ahhhh yes, this is exactly how I feel about it too. You described it so perfectly. I'm so glad Farrell got it too.
I'm both sad to see this tr come to an end (loved reading about you two, you're too fun!) and excited to read about what is coming up next!

It's so true, isn't it?

I'm glad that you had a good time reading and that we were lots of fun. :goodvibes We try, we try.

Well, your last update had me sad that your trip is over, but laughing at your forgetfulness and leaving Yeti behind. Poor little dude.

Love Teppan Edo and I really need to eat there again soon.

I totally agree that Disney wins on the little things. I rode fewer rides that ever on my last trip, but I had such a great time at F&W doing the little things and it was one of my best trips ever.

I will miss this TR because each update made me laugh out loud. :thumbsup2

I told her indeed, they did fireworks every night in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. She was absolutely floored and said that this is clearly what set Disney apart from everyone else. I couldn't agree more. It's the overall experience for me. It's not about just thrill rides or anything. I'm going to go off on a small tangent here.

This last evening with Farrell solidified even further my love of Disney. We had been to both Disney and Universal on this trip. Our experience at Universal was less than stellar with the crowds, and I'm sorry, but with the sewer stink that seemed to permeate the park. Will that prevent me from going again in the future? No. But I took a first timer to Universal and to Disney, and she was floored by everything Disney had to offer and the overall experience. She finally drank the proverbial Disney water, and she got it. And I'm thrilled that she did. And our timing with Illuminations after our dinner? Perfect. I could see in her eyes that she knew why Disney was the leader in theme park entertainment. Because it's not just about thrill rides. It's about everything else that goes along with it. :lovestruc

Up next: We head home.

This. :thumbsup2 I totally love how Disney makes you forget the real world. We were lucky to be able to do the new FLE when we were there last week.....it is A-MA-ZING! The details are unbelievable. You will absolutely LOVE it! We've never been to Universal - for my family it doesn't make sense to spend the money since I'm the only one who likes thrill rides. I'm just as happy to spend my week in Disney....it never gets old for me.

I'm sad too that it's over. Such an oversight leaving Yeti behind. And I'm not gonna lie, when I realized it, we were both like "Yeti!!!! Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm glad that my updates on this TR made you laugh out loud. I always try to execute humor every time I write my TR's. :lmao:

I am sooooo stoked to see FLE in a few weeks, you have no idea. I'm so glad that you thought it was amazing. What I've seen in pictures definitely shows that it's pretty great.

OH how I want to be the one going with you:( I am happy though that Jeni will have such an awesome Disney guide :cool1::goodvibes

Geez, it's hard to believe you are almost done! But on the bright side, I am trying to follow along on all of your others so "YAY"!!! :goodvibes I totally concur on how Disney envelops you! They just know how to do it "right" as Keith says. We haven't been to Universal yet but I think that is one reason I have delayed going (although the next trip will probably include Universal or Sea World). Teppon Edo is also on my list. I think that is cool you got a female chef! I have always seen males!

Oh and how could you leave Yeti!! :scared1: Shame on you!! :lmao:

It's really a sad state of affairs that I always seem to have so many TRs running at the same time. :lmao: I've got to get better with that. I write so stinking slow!

Teppan Edo is fantastic, you should definitely go. It's really really tasty.
