When my DD was in kindergarten, they said the school was too crowded and they set up a satellite classroom in a neighboring church. (The pastor's wife was a Kteacher, what a coincidence!

) The deal was that they would go there for half of the school year, and switch to the regular school for the other half when the school group would go to the church.
The church had two classes separated by a partition. There was one helper who was to assist both teachers. What did they do? They rolled the partition back and made one big giant class of close to 50 kids.
Meanwhile, my DD came home with wet pants on more than one occassion because some of the kids would lock the stalls and crawl out. She couldn't get the door open and would have an accident. The teacher assistant had her hands full and couldn't monitor the situation.
When it came time for the two groups to swap places, they said that the church school was such a success that they were considering keeping the kids there. Well, this was one Mom who was fed up and made sure that the original plan was followed.
It's terrible that they jerk these kids around and think "oh, they're young, they'll adapt." My DD couldn't understand why she didn't go to the "real school" with her brother.
Fast forward and many frustrations later, we eventually sent all 3 of ours to Catholic HS. It was the best thing that we did. Should have done it sooner.
