Yes, this topic may shock you, but I had to say that tonight, I actually
did what I despise:
I intentionally quit a game of Haunted Mansion. Perhaps after I share my
story, you wouldn't blame me! I don't like to miss out on credits, so you
KNOW this story will be good!
I was in a 1 on 1 game with a player. At the beginning of the game, he
"cleaned" me, and we continued on a normal game until.....he announces,
"I've got enough ghosts. I'm stopping." I figured out that he thought he
had 20 ghosts for the Tron room quest.
I warned him that if he quit the game, the quest won't count. I also told
him that the ghost he cleaned off me wouldn't count and he MUST catch
more ghosts to make it count. The first round ended and we went into
the second round.
He still refused to catch ghosts, and for those who think, "What's
wrong with moving around without catching ghosts?" Well, it really is
not fair for the opposite player because if you don't catch ghosts, the
other team will run out of their own ghosts to catch.
I told him that he wasn't being fair to me, and that if he did not start to
catch some, I would quit the game. I gave him chance after chance, even
after he said, "No!"
After all that fair warning, I quit the game....with 16 seconds left to go.
Now you KNOW I can't stand players that quit. But I think that I'm pretty
much justified in my reason.
