I Planned and God Laughed **NEW Pre-TR Link!!! p.13**

I looked into the Princess cruise today and I found a sailing that starts on a Wednesday. Hopefully I can talk my dh into it. We would go the previous week before Labor day, start in Vancouver and end in Alaska. It would give us 5 days in Alaska and come home on Labor Day.

I priced out a balcony room for $1499 a piece, this is for 2011. Would the cruise be cheaper if we did it for 2012?

On topic- I wish they would leave the movie down by the beach, instead of, on the front of the lawn of the BC. That inflatable wall they put up, looks so cheesy and tacky on the lawn. Your suppose to bring beach towels to sit on, but people were dragging over the beach chairs from the beach. Also the fire pit was packed with people, every time we walked by. I couldn't get my sisters to stop and get a roasted marshmellow.

I don't know how I missed your trip report. I got a good belly laugh out of your title! So, I am late, but let me comment for the fun of it.

Hi! Thank you for reading and making all of those comments! Hope you will stick with me through our last day!

Do you know why they switched the movie location anyway? It is a bit of an eyesore.

Hmm, about the cruise, I just did a quick search on Princess' site. I'm assuming the cruise leaves in September so I checked for this year and next year. Next year is still priced higher, but the prices will drop as the time goes by. For this year, the price is probably as low as its going to go until possibly very close to the actual cruise. Sometimes Princess will allow you to get the discounted price and then you can have onboard credit - it depends if the sale is for new bookings only. Are you or anyone in your party military or retired military? I know they offer a discount for that. I'm curious what "type" of balcony it is? There are close to 10 balcony types (by deck and ship location). The prices can vary from a balconfy guarantee of $999 (for example) to $1600.

My only concern with going this year is the planning. Especially if you are doing some land exploring before and after...but if you are up for the task, go for it! And if you do go, I hope you can write a mini trip report

Sounds like you had a great weekend.

One of my girlfriends lives in Vancouver, so let me know what you want me to find out for you...I haven't been in years so much has changed....she's more than happy to give you advise on hotels, hotspots etc!!! Let me know!

We haven't even scratched the surface for Vancouver yet...my DB and DSIL aren't as OCD and plan oriented as I am breaking them in slowly

Looks like you had a good Easter! I hope you got some good things if you spent a ton of $$$ :)

Since you asked...I had to stock up on make up at Bare Escentuals, replenished my Philosophy mask at Sephora, saved 45% on everything at the Gap (shirts, cami and ballet flats) and the best purchase of the day? A white dooney and bourke satchel that I've been eyeing for weeks. The best part...I was able to save $60 at Macy's with their friends and family sale! The bad news is that I wasn't allowed to take it with me since the sale hadn't actually started so my mom is picking it up for me. I'll get it Mother's Day weekend. Purses are a huge weakness and unfortunately I don't like the "cheap" purses much anymore...so its becoming an expensive weakness. I control myself pretty well though most of the time.

I don't know why they moved the big inflatable screen off the sand. I should of asked. It is one of those things you just shake your head at.

We ate at Cape May on our last evening. At first I didn't want too, because of the price $32. Our other choice was eating at our resturants-Yacht Club, but the prices were sky-high too. We did enjoy our meal though.

Off topic-The Princess Cruise leaves Aug. 24th. No military. The Balcony Suite was the lowest category, in room size. Then I looked up where it was located and it was on the wrong side of the ship-stern, that side is okay, but the better view is on the other side. Can't remember the proper name, but it is the right side of the ship. I love how Princess will let you book things once you get off the ship. My dh wants to just wing it-(not)-I can just imagine sleeping in some kind of down and out hotel.

Sorry about the baby blues and the rain. I have to say we love DHS the kids can't wait to go back. This time they are going to freak out when they get to ride Toy Story. Dumb mom didn't know what it was on Jason's trip so we didn't go on it.

Hello out there!

So sorry for not updating this weekend! But I have just started typing up our last day at the parks! There was a lot to write about so I am hoping to get it posted in the next couple of days, but I'm not going to lie, I have a lot of meetings this week to prepare for, so I will try my best!

Please don't disappear on me! I'm still here, just a little busy! :goodvibes

I love all the towel animals!!! I have never gotten animals that were that big! I guess that's what you get in CL haha.

I bet you are busy, the end of the school yr has to be nuts. I only have one IEP left next week and I am good till fall :cool1:

I thought your pearl was just beautiful. It looks very nice in the setting.

Making a mental note to make ressies at La Hacienda in Mexico the next time, IF, we ever get to go back to WDW.

I love this!

I don't know if I ever will get to go when all the flowers and topiaries are out, so I appreciate seeing them in your TR.

We once had ressies at Cape May and walked to Epcot after, loved being able to do that.

I loved what your mom bought for your cousin. I must have one!

Come to think of it, most times we go to DHS, it rains, no pours.

Loved reading your TR, and look forward to reading about your trip to Alaska.

Hi everyone,

I haven't ever mentioned it since its been a non issue for so long, but for a good chunk of Winston's first year, year and a half, he had a lot of tummy troubles. He would get "the trots" as I affectionately call them for what seemed like no reason at all. Sometimes I knew - stress, excitement, some food he stole off the floor, but many times it was completely out of the blue. He even had some trouble gaining weight and didn't look so hot. Then he was awesome all summer, in August we had a small issue and he's been great ever since...even packing on some of those much needed pounds.

Well last night (of course after I already fed him), he started again. And again a few hours later. And woke me up at midnight to go again. And again this morning when we woke up, poor thing. He's none the worse for wear - probably just ticked I'm not feeding him this morning  So I'm home from work (which will make Wednesday teacher I mentioned earlier sooo happy I'm sure) and I'm going to call the Vet in a bit to get him in. I know him well, and when he gets like this, I need the vet to do his magic for him. I'm confident he is fine, but I'm more annoyed that its happening again. But if you want to send up some good thoughts for him, I'd appreciate it!

The good news is that since I'm home today, I may actually be able to get an update in!

Shannon, I am still here, reading and enjoying. PLEASE KNOW I am praying for Winston and for you! NOT fun, I know! :grouphug::grouphug:

Hey Shannon - Hope that your baby is feeling better. the sporadic nature of this sounds food related -- could he be eating something that you are not aware of? THor has a gluten allergy - when he gets food with gluten he gets "the trots" like crazy. My SIL unintentially gave him "real" dog biscuits - first three ingredients were wheat flour, wheat gluten, and corn meal gluten. that was sunday. He is still "trotting"

Love the updates, have been reading them via email so not too much commenting.

9 days.....

Hope Winston is feeling better, our puppy (Daisy) did the same thing. We finally got her on the right food.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and good wishes! Winston and I headed off to the Vet yesterday and his fecal (sorry, TMI) came back negative which is good but the Dr. warned me that there are things that don't show up on those tests. He gave him his usual remedy which has stopped him from going at all and he slept a ton yesterday. We're on some meds for a few days and weaning ourselves back to our usual food, but he's his usual goofy, lovey self. I'm just hoping that this was a fluke and not the begining of this problem all over again!

Sorry for no update yesterday, too. I do have it written, but once we got back from the doctor, I ran to the grocery store and then the both of us may have taken a little nap :rolleyes1 then I had actual work to do and by then I was done for the night. We're almost done, though! Maybe 3 more installments and my trip report will be finished!

Good to hear Winston is doing better! :goodvibes I've grown up with dogs all my life (isn't a long time but whatever) so I can understand how scary it is when there seems to be a repetitive problem.

I am still here Shannon, praying Winston is MUCH better by now! ENJOY your day, I hope you are able to spend it with your Mom!!!

Hope Winston is feeling better! Can't wait for your next installment.
