I phone 6 cracked screen

The quick fix places are generally cheaper, but if they mess anything up on your phone, Apple will not even look at your phone for you. I was in the Apple Store getting something fixed on my phone and a girl was in there with her phone that wasn't working and the tech said he couldn't even look at it since he could tell they had the screen replaced by someone other than Apple. I would probably just have the Apple Store fix it.

We got ds’s Replaced for $90. The place had a lifetime warranty and tons of 5 star reviews. They had a lower priced option but we went with the oem screen. Did it in 15 minutes.

I only deal with Apple when I have too. Waiting almost 4 weeks on ds’s battery for his iPhone 6. They just keep saying there’s a shortage. Unfortunately his phone basically only works when it’s plugged in.

Just had this happen to my iphone 8 plus. 180$ at apple store. I wouldnt mess with anything else because like the other poster said if it doesnt work apple wont help after the fact. not worth it.

It’s a three year old phone. Lots of reputable places out there do these repairs all day long. Now if it were a newer phone like yours, I’d agree. Just my opinion.

I had a iPhone 5 screen replaced at one of the fix is stores for around $100 too. It's was repaired over 2 years ago and the phone still works fine. It was DD phone and she got a new one since she dropped her old one and broke the screen. I had the screen replaced and gave it to my mother.

I understand that they are reputable business, but if something were to happen say 6 months after the screen replacement like the home button stops working or won't charge and you NEED to bring it to apple, they will not help.

A lot of these places have lifetime warranties (whatever that’s worth!). A 6 is likely not under Apple care and only worth maybe $200. So if the home button stops working or it won’t charge, I’d take it to the same place I had the screen replaced to get a cheaper/faster repair. Or I would consider upgrading since the 6 is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Personally I think getting help/things fixed by Apple is a major pain in the butt. Again, that’s my opinion.

you should be able to get it replaced for 80 or less BUT as others have said apple will not touch your phone period warranty paying etc... as an example they will replace batteries now for 29.00 for 6 and up which I have an opinion about but will not put it in writing.. you replace your screen at a place other than Apple, Apple will not replace the battery for you at any price...but you can get a battery replacement at most of the screen places for around 40
