I paid $5/gallon for gas at the Shell by Little Lake Bryan

I just listened to the podcast where they talked about the high price of gas at some stations near MCO. It's not just there.

Three weeks ago, the Shell station by Little Lake Bryan (if you turned left when leaving the little Marriotts, it would be right there on the right) was charging $5/gallon.

It's all my fault for not paying attention to the price until the gas was done pumping.

But it's not just near the airport at Disney!

If you're a big dope like me and you just pull into stations and fill up because all the gas by your house is about the same price, you might want to watch while you're out of town. :)

...but who else doesn't look at the cost of the gas? I'm sure everyone but me looks.

If you had driven down a little further you would have found much lower prices. Sorry you missed the price.

I used to live on Little Lake Bryan and that's the station we ALWAYS avoided. There are 5 more stations within a mile of there that are always cheaper, usually by almost 50c/gallon, so it astounds me to always see people filling up there!

Yes, after I filled up I saw many other places with cheaper gas. Jeez, I was ticked. What an idiot.

Lesson learned.

Just paid $4.03.
I live in a suburb of Chicago. Don't think it will be much longer until we see $5 here.

Some "industry insiders" claim that gas will be up to 6 to 7 dollars a gallon by Memorial Day. :scared1:

I feel SO foolish to be "tied to" a car that has to have premium fuel and gets 20 mpg at best in the city. :sad2:

I'm not sure what we all are going to do. :guilty:

$6-$7!!!!!
That will not be good!!!

I try to fill up at one of the Hess stations near Disney property - either by Downtown Disney or by the Boardwalk.

If you fill up near Disney property, will the car still be "full" enough when you get to the airport?

It always is for us. We make a stop at the Hess near the Poly, on our way to the airport. We are always fine when we reach the rental return.

That is the WORST station in the area! They prey on the tourists and the college kids living in CP housing!

Those people should be ashamed of their greed.

A lot of cars which recommend premium fuel will run on fuel with a lower octane. The computer will make an adjustment. Your performance and/or fuel economy might take a slight hit. You might check with your dealer.
