I had the best grocery shopping experience ever yesterday. We used our local grocery store and their affiliated gas station to earn foodperks and fuelperks. My husband drives a delivery truck so he scans the Advantage card when he needs to fill up his work truck(60 gallons = 6% off our grocery bill). He does that twice a week so our savings add up quick. So were up to 20% off and decided to go grocery shopping yesterday. I had already had some coupons that I was going to be using as well so I was looking to save at least $50-60 dollars with the coupons plus the 20% off. Right before we left to go shopping I grabbed the mail from the box and in it was 2 of our rebate gift cards from our cable/phone/internet provider. We got 1 for $150 for switching our cable to them and another $20 card for upgrading our internet speed!
My grocery bill was $253.57. I saved $43.39 using the 20%, $7.60 using the coupons and another $28.10 buying the weekly specials. That brought the bill to $174.48 and thanks to the $170 in gift cards that we had I only used $4.48 of our money! Best day ever! So I put the money that we planned to spend in our Disney savings account!
